The teaser of Pawan Kalyan-starrer Hari Hara Veera Mallu was dropped by the makers on Thursday and we can assure it was absolutely worth the wait.

The one minute 37 seconds teaser opens in a land of lost hope where peasants’ hard work is exploited to the fullest by the right and mighty while some others of their ilk are badly beaten. Simultaneously there are others who are enslaved. In a voiceover, someone says everyone is exploited by someone above them. “The landlord loots us, while the Golconda Nawab loots the landlord. The Nawab is looted by the Mughal emperor,” he says. On cue, we get to see the Mughal emperor played by a menacing Bobby Deol who strodes like a lion. The voiceover later adds that God will send someone to battle the oppressors and we get to see the sword-yielding Pawan Kalyan as that warrior who fights for the cause of people, leaping from Charminar and taking on a raft of adversaries. It ends with a brutal scene of Mughal warriors with swords facing off a lone warrior Pawan.

Amidst a whirlwind of high-octane action and adrenaline-pumping stunts, the teaser unveils a riveting narrative which tells the story of a legendary outlaw played by Pawan. While the film deals with the primitive good vs bad narrative, which as long as narrated well will always find the audience, the production values remain opulent, with the makers recreating historical landmarks like the Charminar and Machilipatnam port. The background score by Keeravani is satisfactory.

Also starring Nidhhi Agerwal,Nassar, Sunil, Raghu Babu, Subbaraju and Nora Fatehi, Hari Hara Veera Mallu Part-1: Sword vs Spirit will release towards the end of this year. With original writer-director Krish moving on to other assignments, the remaining part of the film will be shot by producer AM Rathnam’s son Jyothi Krishna, whose bona fides include Nee Manasu Naaku Telusu, Oxygen and Rules Ranjann.
