Jandhyala
Veera Venkata Durga Siva Subramanya Sastry, populary known as Hasya
Brahma Jandhyala, was expired yesterday (19th June 2001) with heart
ailment in a private hospital. He was born on the auspicious day
of Pongal (January 14th) in 1951 at Narsapuram. He did study his
B Com in SRR & CVR College in Eluru.
He
used to be a good playwright in his college days. His first play
'Ek Din Ka Sultan' became a pretty popular play. His last
play is 'Gundelu Marchabadunu'. He entered the films as a
songs writer though the film 'Punya Bhoomi Kallu Teru'. His
first released film was K Vishwanath's 'Siri Siri Muvva'.
He is a good dialogue writer who gave dialogues to the films like
'Shankara Bharanam'.
He
turned into director with the film 'Mudda Mandaram'. His
last film was 'Vichitram', which is his 60th film. He introduced
a plethora of comedy actors like Naresh, Brahmanandam, Suthi Velu
and Suthi Veera Bhadra Rao. His comedy film with Usha Kiron movies
'Srivariki Premalekha' has become all time favorite comedy
film to all the Telugu audiences.
He
also directed various good films like Nalugu Sthambalata, Aaananda
Bhaivari, Rendu Rellu Aaru, Ahana Pellanta, Vivaha Bhojanambu, Choopulu
Kalasina Subhavela, Chantabbai, Amara Jeevi, Seeta Rama Kalyanam
and Padamati Sandhya Ragam. He did also act a film called
'Aapadhbandavudu' with Chiranjeevi as a father of the heroine.
In the climax of the film he is shown dieing by dedicating all his
works. In the real life too, he expired after giving us very good
films to remember him throughout the Telugu cinema age.
