The 2006 Diwali celebrations for all the Telugu Indians living in New Jersey turned out to be a glittering feast with over 700 people attending the musical concert organized by VARNAM Music Inc. The show was sponsored by Magadh Projects Pvt Ltd and jointly organized by TFAS (Telugu Fine Arts Society, New Jersey). Magadh Projects is a real-estate company (www.magadhprojects.com) based out of Hyderabad with branches in USA.  President of Magadh Projects, Mr. Kamal Kuchana, launched the America Telugu Idol thru Varnam show and wished everyone a happy Diwali and happy investing in Magadh.

Varnam Music Inc, a New Jersey based professional music organization, has set its plans to launch mega creative musical events to identify and tap the local talent in USA and show case them through the media to all the Indians living in India and USA. One such program " AMERICA TELUGU IDOL" is already in progress, details of which are available through www.varnammusic.com.

The Diwali celebrations on the 22nd October, 2006, were a live musical concert with 2-time Nandi award Singer Usha accompanied by singers Seshu Akula, Viswa Mohan Ammula and Preeti Kuchana (who also treated the audience with some spectacular dances choreographed by herself, apart from singing)

The show started off with the golden voice of  Usha singing "Sruti Neevu" followed by her Nandi award winning song "Chinuku Tadiki" rendered to perfection.  This was followed by two classic male solos "Edivilo Virisina" by Viswa and "Yechilip Kallao Lona Kalavo" by Seshu , both receiving tremendous applause from the audience. Usha continued her flawless rendition of "Ne tolisaarigaa" , "Kannepillavani", "Manausuna Mallela" and treated the audience with their requests from various films. The highlight of the show included top hits like "Dole Dole" from Pokiri by Usha and Seshu,  "Balampatti bhama" by Usha & Viswa ,  "Hrudayam ekkadunnadee" by Seshu & Usha and "Manmadha Manmadha" by Viswa & Preeti among many others.   The audience were left asking for more tapping their feet and couldn't help dancing to the song " Something Something " by Seshu  accompanied by Viswa from the audience.

Not just the songs, but the treat to eyes was spectacular dance performances. First being dance by Preeti for the song " Raa Raa" from Chandramukhi  and then came two the 2 young dynamic dancers/sisters Anita and Anjana ( Grade-10 and Grade-8 , both sisters are classically trained) along with Preeti who set the audience on fire with a medley including Gogogova, Dayi Dayi Daama, and all the 2005 chartbusters.
