Serial bomb blasts rocked Hyderabad on Saturday evening at the laser show auditorium in Lumbini park and at famous chat bazaar Gokul chat in the busy lanes of Koti. It is yet another bomb blasts after Mecca Masjid attack in the month of May, this year even as the police are trying to untangle the plot behind.

The Lumbini park blast occurred at 7.40 pm followed by another blast at Gokul chat 15 minutes later. Apparently, the police suspect it is possibly a terror attack and it is opined that it is very meticulously planned and executed. It is suspected an RDX was planted at the bomb sites. Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh condemned the attack and red alert is sounded at New Delhi.

As many as 40 dead bodies were sent to Osmania hospital and the injured (around 50) were rushed to various hospitals for treatment. Even though a week-end not many were gathered at these spots, since it was raining in the capital on Saturday. The Central government is constantly in touch with the State government to extend all support and the CM held an emergency meeting with the officials.

All the second shows in Hyderabad movie theaters were cancelled. The Prasads multiplex is evacuated and cancelled all the shows tonight. The police instructed the citizens of Hyderabad to stay home tonight .
