"Lead India 2020" 2nd National Movement meeting started on April 20, 2008 at FunAsiA banquet hall in Richardson, TX by installing National flags of both USA and India and singing National Anthems of world's two largest democracies.
People's President of India Bharata Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam launched Lead India 2020 US Chapter in New York on March26th. US Coordinator Ravi Koneru, BykeMobile Founder Hatim Tyabji and many other leaders of several Indian American Associations attended the launching event.
Prof N.B. Sudershan Acharya, Founder and National Coordinator, is carrying the concepts of the movement to several cities of USA to unite all Indian's living in USA to support the movement. He has already visited New York, New Jersey, Washington DC, Massachusetts, California, and Los Angles.
Prasad Thotakura, Secretary-Telugu Association of North America (TANA), has coordinated community organizations leaders meeting in Dallas. Prasad welcomed all Indian American leaders representing AID, ASHA, Kannada Koota, Tamil Sangham, ATA, TANA, TANTEX, AFMI, IAFC, IANT, Oria, Gujarati, and Kerala, communities, professors and students from UNT, SMU, UTA, University of Dallas etc., who attended the meeting along with special guests like Prof. Sudershan Acharya from Hyderabad and Deputy Speaker of New Jersey Assembly Upendra Chivukula.
Mr. Hari Kishan Eppanapally who is actively involved with Lead India 2020 gave the concepts of the Movement by a power point presentation. Rama Kanth Middela who is the student of Acharya has narrated the influence of Acharya on his life. Several questions of the members were answered in a Q&A session.
NJ Assembleyman Upendra Chivukula gave an inspiring message and requested all NRIs to get actively involve with mainstream political process and help our motherland India whatever ways they can.
Sriram Krishnan, President of Pyramid Saimira group gave vote of thanks and thanked everyone for attending such an important meeting.
Prof Sudershan Acharya explained that world is under transformation with technological inventions and rapid economic development. Now time is changing the parameters of the world with change in population of the countries. Out of 1.13 Billion populations of India 540 million populations are children and youth below 25 years. It is predicted that by 2020 working average Indian would be 29 years, where as other countries will have seniors as majority. Thus this movement is attempting to ignite ,train Indian youth as global leaders with its Programmed titled as "Aap Badho Desh Ko Badhao" means individual development leads to national development.
Under the guidance of Dr. Abdul Kalam mass human transformation with high vision and mission among youth is being done in Andhra Pradesh. A.P. Government is supporting this movement. It is scheduled to train 2.3 million students in 23 districts. It is scheduled to replicate this training in all other states of India. These training programs are bringing remarkable changes in the mind. After completion of the training, in several villages a set of trainees are implementing Dr. Kalama's 10 point oath like - Each on teach ten, solving illiteracy of India, each one plant 10 saplings, each one stop bad habits of 5 by carrying preventive education of HIV/AIDS.
Movement is also bringing Government, Non Governmental Organizations (NGO) and NRI's under one umbrella to unite all Indian's to empower youth to empower India and the globe.
Role of NRI's in Lead India Movement
1. It is appealed to all Indian to visit www. Leadindia2020.org and register themselves to make India as the first criteria than caste, region, religion, languages etc., and select their options to serve the movement. Every one can continue their affiliations but may attempt to amalgamate other organizations under Lead India and US. They may have to add nations first and focus on igniting youth who will be a great resource to India ,US and the world.

It is not a movement raising funds, is asking your invaluable concern for youth and the nations and your valuable time to share your success stories, values and US systems to rural Indian youth.

Work out with respective US Universities for student exchange programme with Lead India movement

Popularize concepts of Lead India 2020 movement with its motto's like "Lead India"- Aap Badho Desh Ko Badhao"
