Openletter
regarding PK-DC issue by Nagender
Hello
Idle Brain visitors,
I am Nagender ledala from Illinois State University, currently pursuing
a Ph.D. in Bio technology. I have been keenly following the incidents
between Deccan Chronicle and Pawan Kalyan and I have a few views
and requests about these matters.
Firstly,
Deccan Chronicle had no right to enter the premises of a private
function of Mr. Chiranjeevi's Daughter's engagement. I can see that
Pawan kalyan is a public figure and every one has a limit where
they lose their patience. Now, Deccan Chronicle has published inconclusive
reports on the Land Grabbing rights and also the "tiff between
pawan kalyan and Mr. Paritala Ravi".
Pawan
Kalyan might be a short tempered person. Even then Deccan chronicle
journalists have no right at all to go to the police station and
complain because they have entered the premises without an invitation.
Who goes to a PRIVATE function without an invitation? THAT WOULD
ANGER ANYONE!!!. JUST ABOUT EVERYONE. Either way, I would have been
pretty ticked off if some journalist, let me rather say, a person
or a group of persons I do not really like, have entered and covered
my personal function. To elaborate that, let me say that since Deccan
Chronicle has character assassinated Pawan kalyan in the past, he
probably had a very low temper level when it comes to the Deccan
Chronicle Journalists.
Journalists
all over have been doing this same thing for years. Take Princess
Diana for example. How many incidents have we witnessed where the
tabloids took pictures of her vacationing at a private island or
having a chat or a drink with someone at a private party? It is
still a speculation but these pressures from greedy journalists
looking for their own fame, probably took her life in the end. According
to Ananth, a fellow student at Illinois State University, "if
the same situation happened in America, the celebrity would have
sued the news paper for character defamation and got millions out
of it. But looking at the current legal system in India (which is
not really that bad, if you want me to be modest) is not going to
be as effective as the American one". WELL SAID.
As
my fellow student and friend Gautam polavarapu said, "It is
really not moral for a responsible journalist from a reputed news
paper (if chronicle really is) to go to a private function without
a DAMN invitation". Also, Vamsidhar added that "It's simply
an abuse of Journalistic power". Chatting with these intellectuals,
I have a suggestion to Deccan Chronicle. If you really wanted to
defame pawan Kalyan, as you have done in the past, why did you need
to go to his function to cover it? I think you people should just
wait for rumors floating around and then write your front page articles.
As
a conclusion, journalists at Deccan chronicle seem to have lots
of time in their hands to write silly articles. It's about time
you grow up. If you just want to gossip, just accept the fact that
your news paper is nothing but a TABLOID. Then people will buy your
news paper just so they can read about gossips around town. Otherwise,
GET A LIFE! This is probably not the profession for you.
You
can say I am wrong, you can say I am right. But you know what is
right and what is wrong. My views can be taken in many different
ways. Just remember that it doesn't matter who you relate to, but
if you take me as an example, "I am nobody, nobody's perfect
and therefore I am perfect" So with that argument, my views
and this open letter is perfect. But I will leave it to the readers
to decide that.
Thank
you,
NAGENDER
