Synopsis:
Tom Staller (Viggo Mortensen) is a kind-hearted guy who runs a café in a village. He kills a couple of bad guys who attempt to rape a girl in his café. He becomes famous overnight as the local newspapers brand him as the hero. Suddenly his past catches up with him and threatens to shatter his family life into pieces.

What is special in the film?
The protagonist tries to stay away from violence, but circumstances catch up with him in such a way that he is forced to turn violent. His desire to be peaceful and spend a happy life with his family is marred by his murky past. There is a thrilling element about his history. Viggo Mortensen is extremely believable in the role of a guy who displays innocence and cold-blooded daredevilry at the same time. The way director shows how the son of the protagonist revolts against bullying a collegian is good.

What I did not like much in the film?
There are a couple of sex scenes in the film. The second one is totally irrelevant.

Tailpiece: This film reminded me of the Telugu film Samarasimha Reddy where the protagonist settles in a new place with a new name in a café.
