Synopsis:

Borat (Sacha Baron Cohen) is a news TV reporter in Kazakhistan. He with his producer Azamat (Ken Davitian) tours the USA to film a documentary on how advanced nation USA is and it’s cultural heritage. On his first day in the USA, Borat happens to watch Baywatch on TV and falls in love with Pamela Anderson. Then he makes a road trip to California after learning that Pamela lives there. The film is about what he learn about America.

What I liked in the film?

The slapstick comedy at parts is good.

What I did not like in the film?

Bland and crass scenes in the film that are embarrassing to jot down here in this review. The content of the film and the gross execution of it would not appeal an average Indian filmgoer. Hence most of the film appears boring as we cannot get the hold of the content of the film. Most of the jokes in the film are routine and boring.

This film has got lot of rave reviews and critical acclaim in film festivals. I found this film to be a very disappointing fare. I wonder how this film got nominated for Oscars for 'Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay' category.
