Synopsis:
Evan Treborn (Ashton Kutcher) is a disturbed man who suffers from blackouts in childhood. He does not remember what happens in the blackouts. He pens all his experiences in his daily journal and keeps referring to them. Over a period, he figures out a way of travelling back to the events that occurred due to blackouts and fix them. In due course, he gets addicted to changing his past and loses track of reality. The rest of the film is all about figuring the psychological problem he suffers from.

What is special in the film?
The film opens with an interesting quote: “It has been said something as small as the flutter of a butterfly's wing can ultimately cause a typhoon halfway around the world. - Chaos Theory”. The story of this film is based on the Chaos Theory. The real reason is revealed in the climax. The concept of alternative realities is good.

What I did not like much in the film?
There are many disturbing and unpleasant moments with kids. You need to concentrate a lot while watching the film since the real problem is shown only towards the end. It is a dark film. Hence the entertainment quotient is almost zero.
