Gudipoodi Srihari Review

tell a friend

The film is shot in the US and looks very lavish. But for the hero Upendra (Upendra) who arrives in Hollywood to produce a film, there is no relevance to the title. Most of it looks like a science fiction, with a robot playing an important role. It is quite silly watching Upendra in three roles - an identical twins Upendra-Surendra and the robot named US 47. These three characters are there throughout the film. In addition, as if to entertain children, the robot creator Anant (Anant Nag) has a pet monkey, named Seenu. The other important character is Surendra's girlfriend Manisha (Felicity), who is supposed to have hailed from Andhra but settled in USA and changed to American ways and looks.

Upendra arrives in the US to make a film. He stays with his brother Surendra who's already settled there. Director Dineshbabu shows Surendra as a sober guy to contrast with active Upendra, and even Manisha falls for his charms. When questioned by Surendra, she says she never loved him but treated him just as a friend. However, robot maker Anant decides to help Surendra. He creats this robot, which looks like Upendra. It possesses mechanical and electronic superpower. Plenty of situations are created to demonstrate them. Particularly whenever Manisha is cornered by the goondas. Anant goes a step ahead and creates another robot as a replica to Manisha. He hopes the male robot of Upendra gets drawn to this female robot of Manisha, which then leaves Surendra and Manisha free to come together.

The story never matches the technical aspect of the film. The entire drama looks like circus farce. And the subject hinges to the single point of Surendra always doubting Manisha's relations with his brother Upendra. Upendra as Upendra is the best part of the drama, while the rest of the characters look silly. Anant Nag plays a pitiable character of the scientist. Music is uninspiring.
