Gudipoodi Srihari Review

The film achieves two objectives: to project N.T.Rama Rao (Jr.) as an improved artiste and to preach the value of education. The story rises enough curiosity from the beginning.

Aditya (NTR) wants to study law in a particular college which is controlled by a goon-like student, Satya (Rajeev Kanakala). All Satya does is bash up students and tear law books much to the vexation of the administration, lecturers and students. Enters Anjali (Gazala) who gets attracted to Aditya despite his attempts to keep her at a distance.

It is time for Satya too to declare his love Anjali. When he becomes pushy with her, an otherwise meek and silent Aditya comes to her rescue and beats up the goons ----thereby revealing his true identity and fighting spirit. To the surprise of the students and the staff, Aditya turns out to be a murderer who is undergoing jail term.

He attends college, thanks to a cooperative and benevolent jail superintendent (Tanikella Bharani). This part of Aditya's padt comes in a flashback.

Aditya accidentally kills a student when the latter tries to rape a girl. However, the girl and her father deny any such occurrence and Aditya is sentenced for life. His father, a disciplinarian, disowns his son. Now that Aditya decides to study law as per his father's wishes, the sympathetic superintendent extends help.

There is also another villain (Kota Srinivasa Rao) who secures question papers for entrance exams like EAMCET by bribing officers and sells them for big money. Aditya's father, a custodian of these papers, becomes a hard nut to crack for the villains involved in this vicious chain. The rest of the story involves making Aditya a lawyer and bringing the son and father together.

The film is a mixture of possible and impossible situations. Yet, the underlying message is simple. It exhorts students to understand the value of education and fulfill their parents' wishes. NTR Jr. performs better in his second film and displays ease.

Gazlala just participates in song and dance sequences. Keeravani's music score is good. Hari Anumolu's photography is another technical highlight.

Rajeev Kanakala -son of noted film personality Devadas Kanakala - gets an improbable role of a young man working against the interest of students, and he performs well. Malladi, as Aditya's father, elevates the role to perfection.
