About Movie:

YES! "MARRIAGES ARE MADE IN HEAVEN"

Kajol (Pinky) is a spoilt, ziddi girl of the rich Kurneal (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) who falls in love with Atul Agnihotri (Bunty) at a youth festival. But God had decided something different for them. Atul Agnihotri comes home and finds that his marriage has been decided to their family friend's daughter Ayesha Julka (Shobhana) and of Kajol with Jackie Shroff (Arjun) a police officer. They both rebel against their parents and decide to leave their home and run away but then Atul's Aunt (Aruna Irani) makes them understand that by running away they will have to lose all the luxuries and leave with poverty but love. Then they decide with help of Aunt that they will get married where their parents want and then they will behave badly and then after divorce can get married without parent's obligation.

So they both get married. Then due to the situation created, the sudden change comes into both of them and they started finding that they love not each other but their life partner with whom they have taken saat phera in front of Agni. At the end both meet and tell each other that we could not be one but our decision is one and that is to remain with our own partners!

Review:

Kajol looks pretty thin and her acting is also nice. Jackie Shroff is really impressive. Atul Agnihotri is same as before. Ayesha looks really good but she has got to do what requires rather no great acting skill. Aruna Irani is superb in her acting and it is intersting how she changes Kajol and Atul. All other characters have got no chance of showing acting.

The songs are okay except for the title song, which is really good. The dialogues are sometimes very impressive. The direction by Feroze Irani is good as inspite of having a very simple common story he makes us really feel the importance of marriage and how someone becomes more and the ultimate dearest by marriage. The normal phenomenon of marriage has been shown with utmost importance and how we Indians have respect and love for it.

Watching HHPHG in theatre is worth only if you are a big Kajol fan. Else seeing it at home on video will do it. The people who like "gharelu" movies will give credit to this movie. Others may find it "the same old movie".
