goes the song from Athadu. Athadu is going to invade Andhra this august along with several other films. Let us see what other films are slated for release this august and what the cast and crew of the films offer to the Andhra audience.

Athadu:
This Mahesh Babu starrer is a product of the prestigious Jayabheri Art Productions. Mahesh Babu, as per the grapevine, acts a serial killer who is on the search for the bad guys and eliminates one after another. Success queen Trisha acts opposite him. The movie is written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas and is produced by Jayabheri Kishore. The movie boasts of leg-tapping music by Manisharma and has lyrics written by Vishwa and Sirivennela. Mahesh Babu's movie is releasing after a gap of almost one year, the last one being Arjun released in August 2004. With an excellent star cast and the best technical team working for the project, prince fans are very confident about the success of the movie.

Andhrudu:
After the success of the movie Yagnam, Gopichand is coming in front of Andhra audience in the form of "Andhrudu". The movie depicts the struggle of an Andhraite with the notorious Bihar dons and how he returns back victorious with the heroine. New comer Gowri Pandit pairs with Gopichand in this movie. Sayaji Shinde, K.Vishwanath, Sumalatha, Pawan Malhotra, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Sunil form the other cast of this movie. The movie is written by Paruchuri Brothers and is directed by Paruchuri Murali.

Tidbit: Is Gopichand, the new Mohan Babu of Tollywood? He seems to be successful both as a villain (Varsham) and a hero (Yagnam) :

Adirindayya Chandram:
Shivaji and Laya team up after the successful 'Missamma' in 'Adirindayya Chandram'. The movie depicts the story of a married youngster who gets promoted to a big city and falls into the trap of another lady. The movie boasts of all the successful comedians of tollywood like Brahmanandam, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, L.B.Sriram, M.S.Narayana, Mallikharajuna rao, Venumadhav and Krishna Bhagawan. The movie has dialogues written by Nandyala Ravi and has lyrics written by Bhaskarabhatla. Srilekha composed the music while Srinivas Reddy directs the movie.

Mogudu Pellam O Dongodu:
Raja, Shriya and Brahmanandam team up and greet the monsoon rains as 'Mogudu Pellam O Dongodu'. Arguably, the most experimental film in recent years, this movie boasts of only three characters. Marudhuri Raja is the dialogue writer for this movie while Chandrabose, Sahiti and Peddada Murthy write the lyrics. The movie has music by Kabuli and camera by Vasu. This innovate movie is directed by Venky and produced by Vakada Apparao.

Muddula Koduku:
Fresh after the success of 7G Brindavan Colony, A.M.Ratnam presents his son Ravikrishna as Muddula Koduku to Telugu audience. Autograph Fame Gopika pairs up with Ravikrishna in this movie. Revathi, after a long gap, is seen as Ravi's mother in this movie. The movie boasts of special makeup done on Ravi by Sharat, who is supposed to have got trained in Hollywood for this movie. The movie introduces Radhamohan as a director to Telugu audience. Music provided by Vidyasagar has already been a hit with the audience.

Nuvvante Nakishtam:
Getting back to his previous form after the silver jubilee hit 'Evadi gola Vaaridi', EVV Satyanarayana directs both his sons together for the first time in the movie 'Nuvvante Nakishtam'. The movie sports Arya fame Anuradha Mehta as the heartbeat of both Aryan Rajesh and Allari Naresh. The movie, as per the grapevine is a village triangular love story. Needless to say, most of the comedy actors again find a place in this EVV movie. Koti provides the music for this movie.

Premikulu:
Jaya who made a successful debut with Chantigadu film is directing another film with fresh faces. Kamna Jetmalani (granddaughter of famous lawyer Ram Jetmalani) and Yuvaraj are being launched through this film. Sajan Madhav is making his debut as music director. BA Raju is producing this film on Superhit Friends banner. The plus point of this film is said to be a novel story point that was never touched in Telugu films.

After a weak 2004, Tollywood has only a handful of hit movies in the first half of 2005. With good movies lined up for release in August, let us hope that these movies give the industry the much needed hits.
