Dear Chiru,

You have won every battle in the film career. You have proven your mettle time and again. I would love you to stay in the films forever, aging gracefully, taking up roles that would get progressively mature and keeping the Tollywood flock together. Unfortunately, this is not meant to be. Providence has different plans for you. There is one more battle you must fight AND win. This time the future of Andhra Pradesh is at stake and you cannot shirk from your responsibility.

You know what I am talking about. It's your entry into active politics. Why should it be you?

It's because, you alone have the good will and popularity that cuts across various castes and religions. You, and you alone, can send these career politicians to the place where they belong: oblivion.

When you talk people listen. It's as simple as that. When you assume political leadership, you would be in a position to take some tough, unpopular but good decisions. The public will accept them because they are coming from you. Other politicians take decisions based on how people might feel. You can decisions based solely on whether they are good for the people, not worried about your image.

You are aware of what's happening in Andhra Pradesh. Everything is deteriorating rapidly. Even our Sanatana Dharma is in the danger of being destroyed. These hypocrites, whose sole aim is to get into power, would sell their souls for a single vote. They would make impossible promises and try to divide Andhra Pradesh on parochial lines. They are not just evil but dumb enough to cut the very tree they are sitting on.

You might have some apprehensions and they are valid ones. When you get into politics, there will be mud-slinging. The unconditional love you got from the people would no longer be unconditional. Your every action would be under a magnifying glass. In short, life would be turbulent. N.T.R. had to undergo this painful experience. You will be no exception either. But, you can not let this stop you.

You don't need to know all the answers. There are experts in every field to guide you. You just need the right intentions, and the will to action. Unlike, in the movies, you would not be able to single-handedly bring the criminals to justice. But, that is OK. Your role here is utilize the best resources available to you and make sure your plan doesn't deviate from its track.

Remember, you are not doing this to please your fans nor just to fulfill the ambition of sitting on the chief minister's chari. You are doing this, because you are best equipped to do this.

I know you are a spiritual person. So let me direct your attention to this quote from Gita.

"Now, if you will not undertake This righteous war, Thereupon, having avoided your own duty and glory, You shall incur evil."
