All those Indians who envy their NRI counter parts who enjoy the privilege of having access to online rental DVD stores like blockbuster.com and netflix.com are in for a good news. We have two premiere online DVD rentals which also mail DVDs to Hyderabad are available now.
We have seventymm.com and big flicks.com that deliver DVDs in Hyderabad. Big Flicks charges only 250 rupees per month and you can rent one DVD at any point of time. Seventymm charges 549 rupees per month where you can rent 2 DVDs a day.
For all those guys who opine that original DVD stores like Cinema Paradiso that charges Rs 75/- to Rs 100/- per DVD is heavy on their wallet, these two new services save lots of money.

I am a member in these 3 stores. Here is my advice if you want to take membership and start enjoying the DVDs. If you live near by any of the Big Flick Stores (Vengal Rao Nagar, Somaji Guda & Alwal), take a monthly membership by paying Rs. 250/- (and a refundable security deposit of Rs 400/-). You can watch as many DVDs as you can. Go there pick up a DVD, watch it, return it and take another DVD on the same day. You can watch DVDs like this till you get exhausted. Since the range is relatively limited for Big Flicks compare to other services, finish this off first. Then go to seventymm.com (over nine rupees per DVD) and exhaust a DVD collection over there. If you are still not satisfied with the collection in big flicks and seventy mm, then you may go to Cinema Paradiso and pay Rs. 75 or Rs. 100 per DVD.
Incidentally only Hyderabad and Bangalore has the privilege of having these three stores in the entire India. |
