Tollywood's
upcoming heroes Manchu Vishnuvardhan Babu and Manchu Manoj Kumar
on Thursday met International Action King Mr. Jackie Chan on
the sets of his Hollywood venture "The Myth" at Hampi,
the world heritage site in Karnataka.
In
accordance with the prior appointment dealt with in advance,
the two heroes reached the shooting location at a hillock in
the historical town of Hampi. Jackie Chan received them with
all grace and spent some time with them. In tune with Jackie'
tight schedule, Vishnu acted to a swift demonstration of certain
key stunts sequences from his ongoing movie "Suryam"
on home banner Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures.
While
watching the demonstration, Jackie took suitable gaps to suggest
new style of taking action shots. Hero Vishnu and stunts-master
Siva, who is now doing the job for "Suryam", thoroughly
listened to his suggestions. Interestingly, Jackie Chan woke
up to display certain action movements of mass thrill with Vishnu
for the same purpose. With special reference to the introduction
shot of the hero in "Suryam", Jackie Chan appreciated
the finesse of acrobatics performed by Vishnu in the sequence.
Stunts master Siva, who is doing the job for Suryam, carefully
noted down his suggestions.
Highlight
of their get-together is that Jackie Chan cordially invited
Vishnu to visit Hong Kong and assured him to guide him personally
with regard to martial arts training. In this context Vishnu
recalled his days in Los Angeles where he made efforts to meet
Jackie Chan. Responding to his interest in martial arts, Jackie
Chan said his availability would more in Hong Kong, and hence
invitation. The Hollywood's action legend also foresaw great
future for Vishnu as action hero.
Taking
the opportunity of meeting the world celluloid figure, Vishnu
appraised him of the latest trends and the position of Tollywood
in the global tinsel scenario. Similarly, Chan took much interest
to know about Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Institutions run
by veteran hero and producer Dr. M Mohan Babu and appreciated
his noble gesture of 25 percent education to the poorest of
the poor a reality, irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
Jackie said he would look forward to visit Hyderabad in future.
Earlier,
on seeing Vishnu and Manoj in Hampi, scores of people from the
neighborhood as far from Bellery thronged the town to have a
look at them. A big gathering of fans and admires of Manchu
family took autographs form them, and said they were thrilled
to see them, but has missed Dr. Mohan Babu. When the hero brothers
started trekking the hillock to reach the shooting location,
there had prevailed a huge commotion, with the local gathering
shouting their names in the height their voice.
On
hearing the commotion, Jackie Chan himself arrived at the spot
escorted by huge security ring. Vishnu appealed to the gathering
not to create commotion, which would disturb the shooting process.
With this the situation had turned normal. Jackie Chan who was
watching all this complimented Vishnu for his sway among the
audience.
It
is interest to note that Jackie Chan strictly refused to give
interview to even top police officers in the ranks of IGs and
other bigwigs from the film industry and business. Vishnu said
he was excited to have met Jackie Chan and profusely thanked
him for cordial gesture. He further maintained that he would
likely to go to Hong Kong in February.
