Chiranjeevi
campaigns for child labor abolition
Chiranjeevi,
being the role model of kids, chose to participate in an awareness program
that spreads the awareness about evils of child labor. He acted in a few TV promotions
that preach child labor abolition. The advertisements would be aired
on TV very soon. Chiranjeevi pledged the support to encourage the child
laborers to abandon work and join schools. He also commended the efforts
being put by CM Chandra Babu Naidu in this aspect.

Raj walks out of Baba
As
all the artists are dying to work with Rajni in any of his films, Prakash
Raj opted out of Rajnikanth's latest film in production 'Baba'. According
to the reliable sources, Prakash Raj signed for this project and was
asked to wait for his time on sets for hours. When Prakash Raj finally
asked the director about when his turn comes, he was told that they
were developing his character and it may take some more time. Irritated
by the callous attitude, unprofessional working style of director and
indifferent treatment meted, Prakash Raj walked out of the film. Another
senior Tamil character artist Nazar is donning the character, which
Prakash Raj is supposed to play.
Kannada
film industry bans remakes
According to the reliable sources, the Kannada Film Industry has decided
to slap ban on remakes again. This new decision would come into effect
in two months, as it would give provision those remake films that are
being under production at present. In the recent past, lots of remakes
have become hits and straight films bombed at box office. Most of the
Kannada film directors became jobless due to this downtrend. The film
industry is taking this decision as it encourages the local stories
and directors. Kannada film industry slapped heavy tariff rate on ticket
rates of Bollywood, Hollywood and other regional language films that
are being exhibited in theaters in Karnataka to promote Kannada films.
Mohan
Babu to remake another Malayalam film
Its
business as usual for Mohan Babu! He bought another Malayalam film remake
rights. He would be remaking Malayalam hit 'Vumaipen Vudavada Payan'
in Telugu on his home banner Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures. Vinayan has
directed the Malayalam version. Interestingly, the last two films of
Mohan Babu - Adhipathi
and Tappu Chedi Pappu
Koodu are also remakes of Malayalam films. Another interesting aspect
is that Mohan Babu also bought the remake rights of Hollywood film 'Serendipity'.
It is also rumored that he might be launching his elder son Vishnu
Vardhan Babu through this Telugu make of the love story 'Serendipity'.
Vishnu completed his acting course in the famous Kishore Namit Kumar
Film training institute, from which superstar Hrithik Roshan graduated.
Other details of these two films are awaited.
Vetagadu
song in NTR film
Aaku
Chaatu Pinde Tadise is the most popular song from Vetagadu film
by NT Rama Rao. Jr. NTR has adopted this song as a full fledged song
in his forth coming film 'Allari Ramudu', that is being directed
by B Gopal. RP Patnaik provides music for this film. Audio of the film
would be unveiled on 21st of June. Arti Agrawal and gajala are acting
opposite NTR in this film. Nagma plays Arti Agrawal's mother and Oorvasi
essays the role of district collector. K Viswanath plays the grandfather
for NTR. Talkie part of the film is completed and canning of two songs
is remaining. The unit would be traveling to Canada on 7th and they
would shoot these two songs on Gajala and NTR in Canada. Paruchuri brothers
are providing story and penning dialogues. Chanti Addala is producing
this film 'Allari Ramudu', which is named on the lines of NTR's 'Adavi
Ramudu'. This film would be hitting marquee on 12th of July.
MS Raju's
Nee Sneham started
MS
Raju's new venture 'Nee Sneham' was flagged off on 1st of June. The
regular shooting is going on in a colony of Hyderabad. Uday Kiran and
Arti Agrawal are playing main leads. Jatin, a new face, is also playing
another vital role in this film. This film title is based on the popular
song of Manasanta Nuvve, which is MS Raju's latest blockbuster. K Viswanath
and Sujatha are playing elderly couple in this film. This film is expected
to be released for Vijaya Dasami festival. The other cast of this film
includes Sunil, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, Giribabu, Sudha, Sakuntala,
Sivaji Raja, Jayaram, Sangeeta, Sunitha Varma, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam,
Sudeepa and Subbaraya Sarma. Screenplay and dialogues are provided by
Paruchuri brothers. S Gopal Reddy handles camera. RP Patnaik provides
music. Sirivennela is the single card lyric writer for this film. Krishna
Reddy does editing. Paruchuri Murali directs this film.
Jagapathi
Babu back with 'Sivaramaraju'
Supergood
films banner is planning to remake the Tamil blockbuster Samudra in
Telugu as 'Sivaramaraju'. Jagapathi Babu, Prabhudeva and Venkat play
main leads in this film. According to the unconfirmed news Nandamuri
Hari Krishna would also be doing a vital role. V Samudra, who directed
Supergood banner's Simharaasi in the last year would be directing this
multistarrer. RB Chowdary produces this film. Other details of cast
and crew are being worked out. This film will go on floors on 15th of
June.
Separate
comedy track for Hai film
Rama
Naidu is canning a few separate comedy tracks for Hai
with Brahmanandam and MS Narayana now. Rama Naidu feels that Hai lacked
comedy scenes. Hence he would be adding this extra comedy footage on
10th June 2002.
