Nag's
film to shoot in Malaysia
The team of Nagarjuna's latest film in the direction of Puri Jagan
would be traveling to Malaysia in the second week of May 2005
to shoot a couple of songs on Nagarjuna and Ayesha Takia. The
talkie part of this film was already shot in exotic locations
like Goa, Mumbai etc. Annapurna Studios is producing this film.

Raja
Sekhar as Nayakudu
Raja Sekhar's latest film in the direction of Kodi Rama Krishna
is titled as 'Nayakudu'. This film is a remake of Malayalam blockbuster
Runway. Namitha is seen as heroine in Telugu films after a long
gap through this film. Film director produces this film on Shravani
Cinema banner. Koti composed 5 tunes for this film. 3 songs of
this film would be shot in Austria. Nayakudu would be releasing
in the month of June 2005.

shoot completed for Srihari film
After a long gap, Srihari is playing the role of fiery cop again.
This film is being produced by K Mahendra who introduced Srihari
as hero with Police film. 50% of talkie part of the film is completed.
Climax part of the film is currently being canned in Nanakramguda
studios on Srihari and Mukesh Rushi. Santoshini is playing female
lead. Chandra Mahesh (of Preyasi Raave fame) directs this film.
Vandemataram provides music.
Anyan
in US by Bharat creations
Chandramukhi (Tamil) which was released with a record number of
8 prints in USA by Bharat Creations is creating records by collecting
awesome openings. The same distribution agency of Bharat creations
has grabbed Shankar's latest film Anyan starring Vikram by paying
an astronomical figure. This film is going to release in the 3rd

on 7 May
Ravi Teja's Bhadra is all set to hit the marquee on 7th of May.
Audio of Bhadra would be released on 29th of this month by Aditya
music. Meera Jasmine is paired up with Ravi Teja in this film.
Deepak (of Sampangi fame) is playing elder brother to Meera Jasmine
in this film. Devi Sri Prasad scored music. Seenu Boyapati is
making his debut as director. Dil Raju is producing this film.
Teja
talks 35
The percentage system introduced by the AP State Government seems
to be having magical effect on director. Teja recently announced
that he would be making a film with 35 new faces with a budget
of 35 lakhs over 35 working days and release it with 35 prints
so that it could get benefited by a low 7% entertainment tax.
We have to wait and see if Teja really makes a film with new faces
or opts for regular heroes.
Tanguturi
Surya Kumari passed away
Tanguturi Surya Kumari who sung the most famous song on Telugu
- 'Maa Telugu Talliki Mallepoodanda' - passed away on Monday (25th
April) at a hospital in Chennai. She was born in Vijayawada in
1925. She made her debut as child artist in Vipra Narayana (1937).
She won the title of Ms. Madras in 1952. She migrated to USA in
1959 and later on she settled in London. She is also the niece
of famous freedom fighter Andhra Kesari Tanguturi Prakasam Panthulu.
May her soul rest in peace!

Chiru
film before 10 June
Shooting of a song called 'Kodikoora Chillu Gaari' is currently
going on in Nanakramguda studios on Chiranjeevi and Rakshita in
the choreography of Raja Sekhar. This is a mass song with Chiranjeevi
wearing red shirt and lungi. Shooting of this film would be completed
by 20th May. Producer Allu Arvind is aiming to release this film
any where between 27th May to 10th June. Chiranjeevi's latest
film in the direction of Seenu Vytla. Seenu Vytla directs this
film and Allu Arvind produces it. Andarivadu is the title under
consideration.
NTR's

Vamsi's low-budget Danger
As per the unconfirmed reports, Krishna Vamsi is planning to direct
a low budget film with four small time actors as heroes. Krishna
Vamsi has taken this decision of making a low budget film by keeping
the new incentives by government and the two consecutive flops
he delivered in mind. Tammareddy Bharadwaja might produce this
film. This film is expected to go to floors in the month of May.
Shriya
in children's film
Prakash Rao (son of K Raghavendra Rao) who proved his mettle as
an actor in Morning Raga is taking up the direction now. He is
currently directing a film with Shriya and Allari Naresh in the
main leads. This film is a children's film about education. K
Raghavendra Rao and Rana Daggubati (son of D Suresh Babu) are
jointly producing this flick. Dadi Pudumjee is conceptualizing
and directing few puppetry sequences for this film. This film
speaks about Ramu (a rag picker) who wants to be educated. It
is nice to see the new breed of generation striving to make different
genre films.
Athanokkade
on 5th May
Kalyan Ram Nandamuri's film Athanokkade is all set to release
on 5th May. Music scored by Mani Sharma has already got good response
in audio market. Sindhu Tolani is paired up with Kalyan Ram. Surender
is making debut as director through this film. Janaki Ram Nandamuri
produces this film on NTR Arts banner.
Hungama
and Mr. Errababu on 28th April
This week (28th April) is going witness two straight small-budget
films. These films are Hungama (Ali, Venu Madhav - SV Krishna
Reddy) and Mr Erra Babu (Sivaji, Roma - Kishore). Incidentally
these two films are being produced by new producers. On 29th of
this month, we have Telugu version of English film XXX 2 simultaneously
releasing in Telugu along with worldwide release.

Rao for Film Critics Assoc
Senior Journalist Lagadapati Babu Rao was unanimously elected
as President of Hyderabad Film Critics Association in elections
held on 24th April. Patrikeya and Kondeti Suresh were elected
as vice presidents. Narayana was elected as General Secretary.
Naga Bhushan and Mallikharjun Yadav were elected as joint secretaries.
Janardhana Reddy was elected as treasurer. Devaraju Ravi, Prabhu,
C Venkat, DG Bhavani, M Satyanarayana, KR Naraana Raju, Praveen
Kumar, M Phani, RDS Prakash, Murali (Shaktiman) and Sai Ramesh
were elected as EC members.

to felicitate CM
Telugu film industry would be felicitating CM YS Raja Sekhara
Reddy on 22nd April 2005 at 6:30 pm in Lalitha Kala Thoranam for
the invaluable help he rendered. In a press meet arranged, AP
Film Producer Counsel's President KS Rama Rao said that this function
would be attended by all the members of Telugu film industry and
its affiliated sectors. He urged fans of stars to be present at
the occasion as big heroes like Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna have
accepted to present in the felicitation event.

Aditya music has grabbed the audio rights of Ravi Teja's latest
film Bhadra starring Meera Jasmine. This film is being directed
by debutant Seenu Boyapati. Devi Sri Prasad provides music. Dil
Raju produces this film. Audio of this film is expected to be
released on 25th of this month and Bhadra film is poised for the
release on 6th May.

This week is witnessing two film releases. Ayodhya (Krishna, Naveen
and Rathi - directed by Kodi Rama Krishna) would be releasing
on 21st of this month and Subhash Chandra Bose (Venkatesh, Genelia,
Shriya - directed by K Raghavendra Rao) would be releasing on
22nd April.

in awe of Chandramukhi
Dasari Narayana Rao watched Chandramukhi (Telugu) a couple of
days back in the preview theater of Prasad Labs. He said that
he impressed by the story line and how the film is tackled to
maintain the suspense. He is in awe of the performance of Rajnikant
and screenplay of Vasu. He declared that Chandramukhi film is
all poised to collect around 70 crores in total run.
Tammareddy
as prez for Employees Union
Tammareddy Bharadwaja is elected as president of AP Film Federation
Employees Union for a second consecutive time. Venu Gopal and
Saradhi were elected as secretary and treasurer respectively.
Tammareddy Bharadwaja said that he would solve the issues that
were left unsolved last year by coordinating with the 24 crafts
of federation.

Sydney concert on 16
Pop star Smita will be performing at Sydney Australia on 16th
April. The performance would be held at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic
Center at 6 pm. This event is being organized by Trendz India
Entertainment. Actress Gajala and mimicry artist Siva Reddy would
also perform during the show.

to Satyanarayana
Telugu Viswa Vidyalyam has conferred honorary doctorate to veteran
Telugu film actor Kaikala Satyanarayana on 8th April 2005. Honorable
Governor of AP Sushil Kumar Shinde did the honors. Satyanarayana
started his career as an actor with the film Sipayi Koothuru.
Satyanarayana has done almost all kinds of roles in all genres

The son of yesteryear comedian and villain Nutan Prasad, was first
seen in Samba where he is sex crazed, brother of Prakash
Raj. Now he acted as one of the friends in Soggadu, particularly
the one who tells the dog and ant joke. His future plans are to
keep doing different kind of roles that give him an opportunity
to explore his acting skills. Particularly comedy and villainy
are right up his alley. A role of comic villain is something he

Takia in Bangaram
As per the unconfirmed reports, Ayesha Takia would be pairing
up with Pawan Kalyan in AM Ratnam's Bangaram. Ayesha Takia is
currently acting in Nagarjuna's film in the direction of Puri
Jagan. Dharani who directed Tamil blockbusters Dhool and Gilli
would be directing this film. Bangaram comes up with the tag '24
Caret Action'. This film would go to floors on 11th May 2005.
Allu
Arjun's big projects
Allu Arjun would be doing a film each to be directed by Guna Sekhar,
Puri Jagan, Raja Mouli and Trivikram Srinivas. He would also be
doing a couple of films with debutant directors. Allu Arjun's
film in the direction of Puri Jagan is expected to be produced
by Nagababu. We have to wait and see which film would take off
first.
Chandramukhi
Vs Mumbai Express
The Telugu film industry has spared this week to Tamil dubbing
films. Rajnikant's Chandramukhi and Kamal Hassan's Mumbai Xpress
would be hitting the marquee on 14th of April on the eve of Tamil
Ugadi. Chandramukhi has the backdrop of an abandoned haunted house
with Jyothika and Nayana Tara as heroines. Mumbai Xpress has the
backdrop of circus with Manisha Koirala as heroine.

Kuchipudi's O Ammai O Abbai
Venkat Kuchipudi is making his debut as director with a film titled
'O Ammai O Abbai' very soon. This film sports Jai hero Navdeep
and a new girl Poonam in the lead roles. This film is tender love
story. A new music director would debut through this film. Sameer
Reddy handles camera. Venkat Kuchipudi is one of the producers
of this film along with Lagadapati Sridhar (Evadigola Vadidi fame).
This film would roll from May 2005.

Rama Rao's A film by Aravind
Popular producer KS Rama Rao is presenting a film titled 'A film
by Aravind'. Sekhar Suri (Adrustam fame) would direct this film.
Rishi (brother of Shalini and Shamini / also known as Richards)
and Rajiv Kanakala play the main leads. M Sridhar produces this
film on Sridhar Cinema banner. This film would be released in
June 2005.

Naidu film with Narayana Murthy
D Rama Naidu would be producing a film with people star R Narayana
Murthy as hero. This film would also sport a young hero and Kota
Srinivasa Rao. Veteran film director Boyina Subba Rao who directed
'Preminchu' would be directing this film. D Rama Naidu is concentrating
of making more films now.

past - is planning to produce 3 more films. This is the home banner
of director Jayant C Paranji. Jayant would be directing Mahesh
Babu again for one of these projects. Paruchuri brothers are currently
working over script. Mahesh Babu would be playing the role of
a short-tempered guy with lots of emotion. This film would be
the next project to be directed by Jayant after completion of
Bala Krishna's film. The second project would be directed by actress
Revathy (Mitr fame). This film would be bilingual in Telugu and
Tamil. The 3rd project would be a musical to be directed by Prabhudeva.
This film would consist of 13-14 songs. This film would go to
floors after Prabhudeva completes Pournami film.

Audio of Kalyanram Nandamuri's latest film 'Athanokkade' would
be released by Maruthi music on 9th April 2005. Nandamuri Janakiram
produces this film on NTR Arts banner. Sindhu Tolani (of Aithe
fame) is paired up with Kalyanram. Surendar is making his debut
as director through this film. The producer is making this film
on lavish scale by using multiple cameras, advanced crane equipment,
extravagant sets and unlimited set properties. Three songs of
this film were shot in luster locales of Germany and Austria.
This film would be released in this month.

Ranam
The combination of Gopichand and Pokuri Babu Rao is back. Their
film Yagnam turned out to be a blockbuster. They would be working
for another film titled 'Ranam'. This film would be directed by
the popular choreographer Raja Sekhar. This film would be an action
film with some social message in it.
