Huge demand for ATM role
Srikanth did the role of ATM (Telugu version of Circuit) in blockbuster Shankar Dada MBBS. The same production house is all set to remake Lage Raho Munnabhai in Telugu with Chiranjeevi soon. As per the sources of idlebrain.com, lot of heroes/actors evinced keen interest in doing the role of ATM in this sequel. We have to wait and see who will get to play this vital role of sequel.

Khatarnak audio in November

Mohan Babu confirms Yama role
Veteran hero Mohan Babu confirmed that he agreed to play the role of Yama in SS Rajamouli’s Yamadonga with NTR as hero. He said that his friend Vijayendra Prasad excited him with a unique story line. After Annamayya, this is the only film where Mohan Babu acted in outside banners. He gave bulk dates for this film in December and January. When asked about taking a remuneration of above 1 crore for Yama role, Mohan Babu categorically replied that the remuneration figure is confidential.

Raja starts event management company
Actor Raja started an event management company ‘Chaos’. He would be organizing various high profile events with the help of his friends. As a part of it, he will have a huge musical concert coming up in Vizag in the next month in which Shankar Mahadevan would be performing. Raja is also involved in charity work. He supports Jagruti foundation that helps children affected with cancer.

Kamli audio launched
Award winning director KNT Sastri directed a film titled Kamli. This film is got official entry in 11th Pusan International Film Festival and Third Rye Asian Film Festival. Haricharan Prasad and Sukanya produced this film on Apoorva Chitra banner. Journalist Prabhu released the audio. Producer Hari Charan Prasad said that the script of Kamli haunted him for days and it forced him to chose the decision to produce a good. Audio CD of this film is priced at Rs. 75/- and the buyers will get gifts worth Rs. 75/- along with CD. Madhura Entertainment released the audio.

Audio of Surya’s dubbing film Kanchu with Trisha as heroine was launched on 26th of October. Yuan Shankar Raja provided music. Raasi into dubbing
Actress Raasi is all set to start her new career as dubbing artist. She is dubbing the voice of heroine Kajol in Teja’s latest film Lakshmi Kalyanam. As per the sources of idlebrain.com, Chiranjeevi watched Lage Raho Munnabhai when he was in London during the release of Stalin film. He watched the film again at a special preview theater in Hyderabad a couple of days back along with family members in order to see how women like the concept. The negotiations are currently going on. We can expect a formal announcement very soon. As the per the grapevine, either Chiranjeevi or VV Vinayak might direct the Telugu version of LRMB.

Actress Sri Vidya is no more
Veteran actress Sri Vidya (53) expired due to heart attack on Thursday (19 October 2006) at Thiruvananthapuram. She was suffering from cancer for a longtime. She entered into film industry at an age of 13. She acted in more than 900 films in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu languages. She won best actress award from Kerala Government three times. May her soul rest in peace.

Desa Muduru in a brisk pace
Shooting of Allu Arjun - Puri Jagan’s latest film Desa Muduru is complete but for climax and four songs. The shooting of climax will start on 22nd of this month. Two songs will be shot in Hyderabad and two songs will be canned in abroad. Allu Arjun is doing the role of a TV channel reporter. Producers irked with FM Radios
Hyderabad city has four FM channels (AIR Rainbow, Radio Mirchi, Radio City & Big) in operation now. AP Film Producers Counsel is vexed with the fact that these FM radios are using film content to entertain crowds and at the same time charging unreasonably high tariff for film advertisements. In a public notice issued, AP Film Chamber of Commerce cautioned the producers against giving any film advertisements on FM channels.

Boss trimmed for 7 minutes
After receiving feedback about sluggishness of the film towards climax, the unit of Boss has taken a collective decision to trim certain scenes and shots of Boss for 7 minutes in the latter part of second half. The trimming is done for a few theaters in Hyderabad today evening. By tomorrow, the trimming would be done statewide. The second half is said to be better with this 7 minute trimming (including Anaganaga song).

Naga Chaitanya is interested in acting
Naga Chaitanya (son of Nagarjuna Akkineni) completed a short course in acting at a Mumbai film institute - ‘Creating Characters’. ‘Creating Characters’ is started by Rupesh Thaplial and two more friends who worked for the famous ‘Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute‘ in the past. Naga Chaitanya is currently 20 and is doing the final year of B. Com in Hyderabad. He will graduate in March 2007. GFC bags LRMB Telugu & Tamil remake rights
Gemini Film Circuit that bought Munnabhai MBBS for south India and made it a big hit with Chiranjeevi as Shankardada MBBS has also bought the Telugu and Tamil remake rights of latest Hindi blockbuster Lage Raho Munnabhai. Chiranjeevi is going to Vizag on 16th of September for the opening ceremony of Maxivision Eye hospital. Dr Kasu Prasad Reddy, a close associate of Chiranjeevi is the founder and trustee of Maxivision. Dr Prasad Reddy has been working with Chiranjeevi Eye Bank since its inception. Stalin censor on 16 September
Chiranjeevi’s latest film Stalin is all set to release on 20th of this month all over the world. Stalin film will go for censoring on 16th September, as per the reports available today. Since Stalin is going to be released with 400 prints, it is difficult for any individual film lab to process and print so many copies in such a short span of time. Hence the producer is using all the prominent labs available in Hyderabad to make sure that prints are in place for distributors to carry a day before the release of the film.

Fire measures might affect ticket hikes
The Government issued two different GOs (Government Order) last year. One GO gives the exhibitor to hike the price of ticket for the first two weeks of the film release. The second GO asks the exhibitors to guarantee that fire prevention measures are in compliance with the standard. But most of the theaters in AP does not meet the standards as these fire prevention specifications were not available when these theaters were built. The exhibitor should get a document signed by joint collector in order to hike ticket prices for each of the film. The sources of idlebrain.com say that the joint collectors are insisting on fire prevention measures in order to sign on these ticket hike permission documents. Stalin film is releasing on 20th of this month. And some of the exhibitors are worried about getting permission from joint collector smoothly.

Producers caution against Prakash Raj
AP Film Producers Counsel has taken a decision to extend non-cooperation (sahaya nirakarana) to Prakash Raj after going through a complaint launched the producer of film under production ‘Siddhu’. Producers Counsel issued a circular cautioning producers not to sign Prakash Raj slating the above reason. They are said that AP Film Producer Counsel would not entertain any complaints on Prakash Raj by producers who signed him after reading this circular.

Okka Magadu for summer release
Pooja of YVS Chowdary’s latest film Okka Magadu (One and only) with Bala Krishna Nandamuri as hero was held at 11:03 am at Annavaram on 28th August. This film will go to floors in the month of October and will be completed in a continuous schedule that lasts till February 2006. There will be two heroines. Prakash who developed the storyline of Devadasu is doing story development of Okka Magadu. Mani Sharma is scoring music for the first time to YVS Chowdary. There will be seven songs. The unit of Bommarillu will be touring Nizam on 10th (Hyderabad city, shad nagar and Mehaboob Nagar), 11th (Siddipet, Kamareddy, Nizamabad and Karim Nagar) and 12th (Khammam, Kodada, Suryapet, Miryalaguda and Nalgonda) of September. The Bommarillu unit will tour USA too in October or November.

LV Prasad Postage stamp launch on 5 Sep
