Tarun’s Romeo Juliet
K Vijaya Bhaskar’s latest film is titled as ‘Romeo Juliet’. This film sports Tarun and Ileana in the lead roles. Jagapati Babu does a special character. This film was supposed to be made with Vishnu and Genelia in Vijaya Bhaskar direction under Mohan Babu’s production. But shifted into Bellamkonka Suresh’s hands in the last minute. Charmme is mad about Dhoni
When asked about who she want to act with, Charmme gave an unexpected reply that she adulates cricket star Dhoni. She said that she admires him the most. And she also mentioned that she would be marrying a guy from Telugu film industry.

John Appa Rao 40+ on 31 January
Kuchipudi Venkat’s latest film John Appa Rao 40+ with Krishna Bhagawan playing the title role will be released on 31 of January. Simran is paired up with Krishna Bhagawan. Shooting of the film is almost complete. Krishna Bhagwan plays the fashion designer role and Simran is a business woman. Kiran Varanasi composes music.

Ravi Teja’s Krishna on 10 January
Ravi Teja’s latest film Krishna (the power of Indrakeeladri) is all set to release on 10 January on the eve of Sankranthi. VV Vinayak directs Ravi Teja for the first time. Trisha plays female lead. Chakri scores music. Music of the film will be released on 27 December through Aditya music. Chota K Naidu handles cinematography. B Kasi Viswanadham produces this film on Lakshmi Narasimha Visuals banner.

Mohan Babu in Bujjigadu
Mohan Babu who added lot of value to Yamadonga by donning to role of vital Yama is all set to do another vital role in Prabhas’s latest film Bujjigadu - made in Chennai. Trisha plays female lead. Puri Jagan directs this film. KS Rama Rao produces it on Creative commercial banner. The first schedule was held at Chennai and the current schedule is going on at Hyderabad. The next schedule will take place in Vizag. Sandeep Chowta composes music.

Manisha item song in Nagaram
After a long gap, Manisha Koirala is back in Telugu films. She is doing an item song for Srikanth’s latest film Nagaram which is being produced by Kishore and Sri Mitra Chowdary. She is charging a bomb for this. Jagapati Babu does a guest role. This film is a remake of a hit Tamil flick. Kaveri Jha is paired up with Srikanth.

Happy Days Nikhil with ‘Sye’ Giri
Giri who produced films like Andhrawala, Naa Alludu and Sye in the past is making his comeback with a film that features Nikhil (Happy Days fame) as hero. Parasuram (Bujji) who worked with many projects under Puri Jagan and Bhaskar (Bommarillu) is wielding megaphone for the first time. The regular shooting will start in November 2008. The casting process is going on now.

2nd HIFF from 3 January
Second Hyderabad International Film Festival is going to start on 3 January 2008 and continue till 10 January. The festival will be held in the five screens of Prasads multiplex and Amaravathi theater (Lakadi ka pool). The delegate passes for all the films would be obtained by paying Rs. 500/-. These passes can be obtained from the festival office in Saradhi Studios, Ameer pet. Dasari will act as festival chairman.

Manoj’s Nenu Meeku Telusa?
After making his efforts in three regular films, Manoj is all set to do a different film with a novel story idea now. This film will directed by Ajay Sastri who worked with Krishna Vamsi as associate director for Rakhi. Ajay Sastry also worked for popular advertising agency ‘O & M’ in the past. This film is titled as ‘Nenu Meeku Telusa’. This film will go to floors in the month of January 2008. More details later.

Anushka with Venky?
Anushka has joined the big league by doing films with big heroes. After doing films with Nagarjuna and Bala Krishna, she is expected to be paired up with Venkatesh soon. This project is titled as Chintakayala Ravi. Venkatesh will do the role of a software engineer in this entertaining comedy. Yogi who directed ‘Oka Raju Oka Rani’ in the past will direct this film. Nallamalupu Bujji produces it. Priyamani is the other heroine considered for this project. Vishal Sekhar who composed music for SRK’s Om Shanti Om would be composing music.

Colors Swati’s Asta Chemma
Colors Swati who made film debut with Danger and did an entertaining role in AMAV is all set to do a solo heroine project. This project is titled as Asta Chemma. National award winning director Mohana Krishna Indraganti will direct this venture. Indraganti’s debut film Grahanam won national award and his next project Maya Bazaar did not do well. Krishnarjuna music on 26 December
Music of Vishnu-Nagarjuna combination film ‘Krishnarjuna’ will be launched on 26 of this month through ‘24 Frames Factory’ label. Mohan Babu did a guest appearance. Executive producer Ashok Raju said that Mohan Babu has taken a decision to price the audiocassette and CD at Rs. 25/- only so that it could be affordable for everybody. Bliss company will market this music. MM Keeravani composed the music.

Watch premiere of Krishnarjuna
200 lucky winners of from the people who purchased Krishnarjuna audio CD would be watching premiere show of Krishnarjuna. There will be a photograph in 200 Cds only and all those who got this photograph would be watching the film along with cast and crewmembers. They will also get the lucky chance of dining with the stars on the night of premiere show.

Allu Arjun as Premikudu?
The media has been speculating with various titles for Allu Arjun’s latest film in the direction of Bhaskar (Bommarillu fame). The latest title is Premikudu. Romeo and Varadhi were the earlier titles considered. Sheila is playing female lead. Dil Raju produces this film. This film is expected to release on 14 February 2008 on the eve of Valentines Day.

Music director Devi Sri Prasad is going to make a special appearance in title song of Pawan Kalyan’s latest film Jalsa. This song was shot on Pawan Kalyan, Parvati Melton and various dancers. Okka Magadu music on 21 December
Bala Krishna’s latest film Okka Magadu in the direction of YVS Chowdary will be launched at a public function held at Cyber Gardens (beside Shilpa Kala Vedika) on the night of 21 December. Shooting of the film is complete on 6 of December. Postproduction work is going on now. Mani Sharma composed seven songs. Anushka, Priyanka Kothari (Nisha Kothari) and Simran play female leads. Okka Magadu will release on 11 January 2008.

Swagatam shooting complete
Shooting of Jagapati Babu’s latest film Swagatam was completed yesterday. They shot a remix version of ‘Piya Tu Ab To Aaja’ on Jagapati Babu and Anushka at a set erected in the floor of Rama Krishna Horticulture studios. Dasarath (Santosham fame) directs this film. Anushka and Bhumika Chawla play female leads. RP Patnaik composes music and Aditya Ram produces this film.

Don and Anasuya this week
Nagarjuna’s much awaited film Don in the direction of Lawrence will be releasing on 20th of this month all over the world. Anushka plays female lead. Lawrence made his debut as music director with this film. Lawrence is also playing a vital role in this film. Ravi Babu’s suspense thriller ‘Anasuya’ will be releasing on 21 December. Bhumika Chawla plays female lead. Ankita and Nikhita play other important characters.

Mee Sreyobhilashi on 28 December
Mee Sreyobhilashi which is expected to release on 22 December is shifted to 28 December due to unavailability of theaters. CC Reddy is releasing the film throughout AP using Suresh Movie distributors. Rajendra Prasad plays the title role. Eeswar Reddy directed this film.

Krishna Vamsi to direct Vishnu
Creative director Krishna Vamsi is all set to direct Vishnu. He has prepared the script already. Mohan Babu is expected to produce this film on Sri Lakshmi Prasanna pictures banner. Krishna Vamsi’s last film Chandamama completed 100 days on 14th of this month and the producer is celebrating it by holding a function on 17 December. This film will go to floors in a month. Other details are awaited.

Promo song for Krishnarjuna
The unit of Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures is shooting a promotional song for their latest film Krishnarjuna starring Vishnu and Nagarjuna. This song is being shot in 3rd floor of Annapurna studios. This song will be used for the promos of Krishnarjuna film. P Vasu directs this film. Music will be launched in the next week. Krishnarjuna film will be released in the 3rd week of January 2008.

Arundhati in February
Passionate filmmaker M Shyam Prasad Reddy is producing a film titled Arundhati in the direction of Kodi Rama Krishna. The shooting of the film is almost over and the postproduction work is going on. Anushka plays the title role in this film that is spread across two time zones. Arundhati is expected to release in the last week of February.

Seenu Vytla to direct Nagarjuna
Seenu Vytla who proved himself with mass comedy flicks in the past is going to direct Nagarjuna very soon. D Siva Prasad Reddy who produced many blockbusters with Nagarjuna is going to produce this film. Trisha will play female lead. This film is likely to go onto the sets once Seenu Vytla completes his work in ‘Ready’ featuring Ram and Genelia.

Bujji to produce another Venky film
Nallamalupu Bujji who produced last years Sankranthi blockbuster Lakshmi is going to produce another film with Venkatesh. Yogi who directed Oka Raju Oka Raju with Ravi Teja and Namitha in the main leads is going to direct this film. Kona Venkat provides story and dialogues. This film will start in the second half of January 2008. Nallamalupu Bujji is called as the director with golden hand as his first two films (Lakshmi an Lakshyam) became blockbusters.

Anasuya on 21 December
Ravi Babu’s thriller Anasuya featuring Bhumika Chawla in the title role is going to release on 21 December. Abbas does the main lead. Ankita and Nikhita play other vital roles. Ravi Babu also produces it on Flying Frogs banner. D Suresh Babu presents it. The trailer released recently got tremendous response.

Brahmanandam Drama Company
Palli Kesava Rao is producing the Telugu remake of Hindi flick Bhagambhag. This film is titled as ‘Brahmanandam Drama Company’. ‘Heroine Jump’ is the tagline. Brahmanandam does the title role. Sivaji and Ravi Krishna play main leads. Kamalinee Mukherjee and Sameeksha play female leads. I Srikanth who directed Sriramachandrulu is directing this film.

Its not Bheja Fry, It’s Kurkure
There are reports in media that a Telugu film is being made on the lines of Bheja Fry. When contacted director Junaid clarified that his debut film is not based on Bheja Fry. This film ‘Kurkure’ is centered around the character played by Bhubaneswar (a vamp in Telugu films). Duvvasi Mohan - a small time comedian - is doing the male lead in this film. Venkat produces this film on RR Movie makers that produced films like Hungama and Samanyudu. Director Ravi C Kumar is providing story and dialogues for this film. Junaid who excelled in the fields of trailer cutting and color grading (Prime Focus) is making his debut as director with this film.

14 Dec is a good day for MS Raju
14 December is having important occasions in the life of MS Raju this year. The day starts with a pooja program in which MS Raju would be launching his son Sumanth Ashwin as hero with Nuvve Naa Hero film in the direction of Teja. The evening of 14 December would have the music launch of Vana film in which MS Raju makes his debut as film director. Vana sports Vinay and Meera Chopra in the main leads.

Chandamama 100 days function on 17
Producer C Kalyan has decided to organize a 100 days function of his latest film Chandamama directed by Krishna Vamsi on 17 of December in Durgam Cheruvu. Dasari Narayana Rao is expected to grace the occasion as the chief guest. Chandamama film is completing 100 days on 14 of this month. Happy Days to tour Andhra
The unit of Happy Days will be touring entire Andhra Pradesh from 8th of this month to 10th. Sekhar Kammula, Dil Raju, Varun Sandesh, Rahul, Sonia, Monali and Gayatri will join this success tour. The tour starts on 8th of this month in Vizag (Jagadamba theater) and then passes through Gajuwaka, Rajahmundry, Kakinada, Vijayawada, Mangalagiri, Guntur, Ongole and Nellore.

Venkatesh to work with Sekhar Kammula
Speaking to scribes today, Venkatesh informed that he is going to do a film in the direction of Sekhar Kammula. Venkatesh said that he immensely liked the film and sent flowers to entire unit of Happy Days after watching the film. Sekhar Kammula is the man in demand now with Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu too expressing their willingness to work with Sekhar Kammula.

Tanikella’s Sira for Mumbai festival
The short film ‘Sira’ directed and written by Tanikella Bharani has been selected for the 10th Mumbai International Film Festival which will be conducted from 3rd to 9th February 2008. While there are 16 Indian films in the ensuing film & video competition, this is the only Telugu film. There will be an international jury. There will be 43 films in the fray. This festival is conducted by MAMI (Mumbai Academy of Moving Images) - an organization headed by all time greats like Shyam benegal, Govind Nihlani, Jaya Bachchan etc.

Ravi Teja’s film is not Krishna
Speaking to idlebrain.com VV Vinayak said the the title of his latest film with Ravi Teja is yet to be confirmed. He also said that they never considered the title Bejawada Bujji for this film. Though they considered the title Krishna for the film, they had to withdraw it because Nagarjuna - Vishnu film is titled as Krishnarjuna. The shooting of the film is nearing completion. This film is expected to release for Sankranthi 2008.

Ali’s ‘Love in Bangkok’
Adlabs (of Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group) is entering in Telugu film industry with a film titled ‘Love in Bangkok’. Ali plays main lead and SV Krishna Reddy is going to direct the film. They are making this film to understand the local market and to test the waters. Adlabs will be making many big budget films in the future.

Godava and State Rowdy on 7 December
Vaibhav’s (A Kodandarami Reddy son) debut vehicle Godava and Sivaji’s State Rowdy are set to release on 7th of this month. Godava launches Vaibhav and Sraddha Arya in the main leads. A Kodandarami Reddy produces and directs this film. State Rowdy has Sivaji, Madhu Shalini and Mallika Kapoor doing the main leads.

Gopichand is doing his 3rd film on Eetaram banner after two blockbusters Yagnam and Ranam. Ramana is directing this film and Pokuri Babu Rao is producing it. Indidentally Ontari is the 14th film on Eetaram banner. Bhavana who won many awards in Tamil is making her debut in Telugu with Ontari. Shooting of the film is almost complete. The story of the film is about lone battle Gopichand wages against the atrocities in the society. There will be five songs composed by Mani Sharma. Sarvesh handles cinematography. Marudhuri Raja pens dialogues. Ontari will be released in the month of January 2008.

Samanyudu to be remade in Hindi
RR Moviemakers that produced Samanyudu film with Jagapati Babu last year is planning to remake it with a big hero in Hindi. Ravi C Kumar who directed the Telugu version is expected to direct the Hindi version too. He is currently directing a film for RR Moviemakers with Nitin as hero. Vijay C Kumar handles cinematography.
