Srvanthi Ravi Kishore’s next film with Ram
Sravanthi Ravi Kishore who gave a big blockbuster recently in the form of Ready with Ram as hero in the direction of Seenu Vytla is getting the next script ready for Ram. This film will go to floors once Ram’s current film ‘Maska’ in the direction of B Gopal completes it shoot. The director’s name is yet to be officially announced.

Praja Rajyam title holder met Chiru
Chenna Krishnaiah, a Kadapa man who originally registered the name Praja Rajyam, today met Chiranjeevi at his party office in Hyderabad. He clarified to Chiru that he registered the name Praja Rajyam with the objective of doing service to the society and not for political gains. He further said that he voluntarily withdrew the application and nobody brought pressure on him. To note here, it was alleged that the leaders of Praja Party had lured Chenna Krishnaiah with monetary benefits and party positions.

NBK's Yuva Garjana?
Nandamuri Balakrishna and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu today held discussions in Hyderabad. Reports say that both had dwelled at length about holding a public meeting giving it a name "Yuva Garjana, soon. Incidentally, NBK holds the popular title as Yuva Ratna. The entry of Chiru into politics by floating Praja Rajyam prompted NBK to speed up his contribution for the TDP, it is observed. Earlier, Balakrishna himself said that he was not new to the TDP and he would not hesitate to come into politics whenever the situation would demand so.

Sirivennela advice to Anant Sriram
Sirivennela Seetarama Sastry, king lyricist in Tollywood, came out with timely suggestion to upcoming lyricist Anant Sriram. At the audio release of Dil Raju-Varun Sandesh film Kotha Bangaru Lokam today, Anant Sriram said that he was nothing before the elite gathering of stars and senior technicians. Responding to this, the star lyricist said: "Anant Sriram, don't undermine yourself. Too much of obedience is too bad. You should shun it. You should feel that you are also great." At this remark, Anant Sriram responded yet with an obedient gesture, folding his hands.

Action adventure Saroja on Sep 5
Srihari-Vaibhav combine film Saroja (a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu) is going to release on September 5th through Pyramid Saimira all over AP. Produced by T. Siva, it is directed by Venkat Prabhu, who earlier made Chennai-28. Srihari does a vital role as police officer. The film has the timeframe of 24 hours, stretching from 6.AM to 6.AM and presents a critical situation faced by a group of four youngsters. The producer said it is an action adventure. Glam doll Kajal is the heroine.

Rajasekhar held with revolver
Hero Rajasekhar and his spouse Jeevita Rajasekhar were detained at Samshabad airport today as a revolver was found in their baggage. The couple were about to leave to Chennai in connection with story discussions for a new movie. The actor clarified to the airport security that it was a licensed weapon, but was carried in a hurry. However, the query as to how they could carelessly handle a lethal weapon by dumping in baggage arose. The actor furnished the license later and brought back his weapon. This led to the stalling of the couple's Chennai trip.

Okkatavudam by September end
Okkatavudam, starring Kausal and Hamsa Nandini (of Anumanaspam fame), is going to release in the last week of September. Currently, its under postproduction works. Made on NR9 Cinema banner, it is produced by Srinu and Sangita Srinivasan. Direction is by debutant Muralikrishna. The story is about how a budding music director comes to Hyderabad all the way from Chennai to prove his mettle, but falls in love. The consequences later form the crux. Hero Rishi played a special role, while upcoming screen villain Murali Sharma did a vital role.

Rahul enquires about Praja Rajyam?
Congress youth leader Rahul Gandhi is said to have enquired about Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam Party and to what extent it would influence politics in Andhra Pradesh, it is reported. Incidentally, Rahul Gandhi visited Madanapalli in Chittoor district along with his sister Priyanka on August 26, the day when Chiranjeevi held his mammoth public meeting at Tirupati. It is observed that the enthusiastic crowds moving towards the pilgrim town didn't escape from the eyes of young Gandhi. It would be known in the coming months as to how Rahul would respond to the changing political scenario in the state

Vinayakudu audio at Shilparamam
The audio of Vinayakudu, starring Sonia (Happy Days girl) and debutant Krishnudu, is going to release on September 3rd (Vinayaka Chathurthi) at a grand function to be held at Shilparamam. The film is presented by Prem Kumar Patra, who earlier made critically acclaimed Aa Naluguru. The film is a romantic comedy with its theme – Love is not physical, but something that matters with two hearts. Shyam Prasan, a debutant, is the music director.

Trisha's 200-days call sheet?
Trisha, who is set to play the heroine for Kamal Hassan in Marmayogi, is required to give a 200-day call-sheet for the project, reports said. With Asin and Shriya making their way up to Hollywood and Bollywood respectively, Trisha seems to have found a big ground for her in South. Interestingly, Trisha's name is making rounds for the films – Krishh's film with Venky (Krisham Vande Jagadgurum) and Surender Reddy's film with Ravi Teja. If she were to do these three flicks, how she would adjust the dates is a big dilemma.

Srihari will be highlight in King
Speaking to idlebrain.com writer Gopi Mohan and director Seenu Vytla said that Srihari’s comedy in the second half of Nagarjuna’s King will be the highlight. Srihari’s comedy in second half would be as good as that of Brahmanandam’s second half comedy in the recent blockbuster Ready.

Former heroine Ramyakrishna is going to don the mantle of a quarrelsome wife in and as Suryakantham. Jagapati Babu is playing her hubby. The story is said to have been developed on the lines of SV Ranga Rao-Suryakantham pair in yesteryears blockbuster of ANR – Dasara Bullodu. Reports say the flick is likely to be launched soon.

Asha Saini's Comedy Express
Asha Saini starrer Comedy Express has completed its first schedule. The flick is directed by debutant Srinivas Kasturi and produced by Sankar Reddy on TV media banner. The shoot will be finished with two more schedules in September and October. Release is planned in November. The glamour of Asha Saini and the comedy in the film are highlights, said its producer. Comedians doing in the film are Babu Mohan, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, Satyam Rajesh and Srinivas Reddy. Music is by Sam D Casto.

NBK-Priyamani film on Oct 9
Nandamuri Balakrishna's new film with Priyamani as heroine will be launched on October 9th (Vijayadasami). Sivalenka Krishna Prasad (who earlier did Aditya 369, Vamsanikokkade, Balevadivi Basu with NBK) is producing this film. Debutant Mahadev, disciple of SS Rajamouli, is the director. The producer said: "We selected Priyamani as heroine for Balayya. Vijayendra Prasad is providing the story. Dialogues are by Ratnam. Rama Rajamouli is the costumes designer. Mani Sharma is the music director. The first schedule will commence on the opening day and will continue till October end. A 15-day schedule will take place every month till the completion. I thank Balakrishna for giving me this opportunity." Chandramohan, Brahmanandam, Pradeep Rawat, Tannikella Bharani, Ahuti Prasad, Dharmavarapu and Balayya are among the cast. Art is by Anandsai. Stunts are by Ram-Lakshman.

Official spokesmen for Praja Rajyam
Praja Rajyam Party President Chiranjeevi today announced that the party's official spokesmen are Dr. Mitrra and Parakala Prabhakar. He introduced the newly appointed leaders to the media at a meet held at his party office. "We formed the party with the inspiration and response from the public. In order to bring respect to politics, we put the tag line Seve Lakshyam-Preme Margam to the party. The state executive committee would be formed soon," Chiranjeevi added.

The Annapoorna Studios will soon be developed into a corporate entity, according to Akkineni Nagarjuna. He said that the studios and the 7 acres would be merged to give a modified and corporate shape. It would facilitate in making films on corporate lines. Film on human psychology
Hyderabad (Metro) Times is the title of a new film to be launched by corporate company Asra Nirman. The story is about reflection of different types of psychology with different people at the same time. Currently, the film's songs are being recorded and the shoot will commence shortly. Lyrics are penned by Bhaskarabatla, Chandrabose and Veturu with music by Pramod Kumar. Story, screenplay and production is by Harun. Saibhanu is the director. Production execution is by RK Gowd.

Chiru is Maha Sakthi: KCR
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President K. Chandasekhar Rao termed Praja Rajyam party President Chiranjeevi as "Maha Sakthi" in the making. Talking to reporters, KCR said that the observations of Chiranjeevi on Telangana was not the final version; and "he himself told me about this." He further said that Praja Rajyam is still in its infant stage and there is no urgency to respond to it so early.

1 Cr signs for Bharat Ratna to NTR
The All India NTR Fans Association have today undertaken collection of signatures from the legislators at the Assembly premises in Hyderabad as part of their "One crore signatures campaign", seeking Bharat Ratna to legendary actor and former TDP supremo NTR. Chandrababu Naidu and the party MLAs signed at the register as part of the exercise. Even Congress MLA Sitaram also signed in the book and said that NTR deserved the country's highest civilian honor. After collection of the specified number of sings, the same will be submitted to the Prime Minister.

Rajasekhar-Bhumika film in Sep
The new film in the combination of Rajasekhar and Bhumika is coming up for regular shoot from September, according to its producer Maganti Gopinath. The film will be made on Dishira Productions. G. Ramprasad will be directing it. Music is by Ramana Gogula. The producer maintained that the film would be made with high budget with big cast. Comedy, family sentiment and action are the prime elements in the subject. Shoot would be finished in four schedules between September and December. In all there will be five songs. Dialogues are by Kona Venkat. Brahmanandam, Venu Madhav and Ali are among the comedians.

Chiru ignored Dalits: Ex-IAS officer
Former IAS officer Rosaiah, who earlier undertook 817-km padayatra with the slogan that Chiranjeevi is the future chief minister, now reversed his stand, criticizing Chiranjeevi that he had ignored the welfare of Dalits, and "it is glaring during his public meeting at Tirupati." He said only the YSR government is the hope of the Dalits. Rosaiah said he would be undertaking 63-day padayatra in support of the YSR rule.

Chiru fan dies in road accident
Srinivas from Addanki, a mega fan, was killed in a road mishap in Nellore district. The unfortunate incident took place when the Tata Sumo on its downward journey carrying him along with others collided with a lorry coming in the opposite direction. Seven others were also injured, including two of them seriously. Just a few yards from this accident spot, another bus carrying Chiranjeevi fans collided with a lorry, in which 18 were injured and they were admitted to hospitals in Gudur and Nellore. Incredibly, the third mishap took place at the same spot with a mini lorry ramming into a stationary lorry, resulting in injury to one person.

Chiru fans hurt in road mishap
Nine persons, fans of Chiranjeevi, who came to Tirupati for the Mega show last evening, were injured this morning when their vehicle, a mini van, on its return journey capsized at Mudigubba village in Anantapur district. The injured were taken to a hospital nearby for first aid. The condition of two of them is said to be serious.

Chiru to clarify all doubts: Mitra
Praja Rajyam President Chiranjeevi will be clarifying to the criticism that there is no clarity in his speech on various issues, including Telangana, in another meet, soon, according to Dr. Mitra, the party's political advisor. He responded so in the wake of statements from several political leaders that Chiranjeevi resorted to escapism on some of the vital issues.

Politicians' responses to Chiru meet
Senior Congress leader and state minister Jeevan Reddy today termed the Tirupati meet of Praja Rajyam President Chiranjeevi as a "movie" which flopped at the "Box-office." He observed that Chiranjeevi floated the new political party with selfish objective of getting into power politics. Another Congress senior Mallu Ravi said that Chiranjeevi showed escapism over Telangana issue. Minister JC Diwakar Reddy termed the observations of Chiru on corruption is "ridiculous." However, BJP leader Vidyasagar Rao said that the public meeting of Chiranjeevi proved that people in the state wanted imminent change. At the same time, he said that there was confusion over Chiru's stand on Telangana, which he left to the "public will". Popular producer S. Gopal Reddy (Bhargav Arts) was seriously injured in the head. This happened in Chennai. Film actor Balakrishna visited him after coming to know about it. Reddy was immediately taken to a corporate hospital in Chennai. Further details are awaited.

Rumors of suicide against Rambha
Wild rumors have hit Tamilnadu that actress Rambha resorted to suicide, reports said. However, the actress was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai with symptoms of gastroenteritis. The doctors advised rest and administered some antibiotics to her. Currently, the actress is doing fine. Currently, Rambha is acting in Tamil film Vidiyum Varai Kathiru, costarring Prakash Raj. She also does the judge in a popular TV reality show Maanada Mayilaada.

Special trains to return from midnight

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has confirmed some of the names as its candidates for contesting the ensuing Lok Sabha elections. Among the eleven candidates for Lok Sabha, the names of actors Naresh and Krishnam Raju have figured in to contest from Hindupur and Narsapuram LS Constituencies. BJP leader Bandaru Dattatreya said that the emergence of Chiru's party is the result of Chandrababu Naidu's failure as opposition leader.

Sekhar Kammula who had a hat-trick run at Telugu film box office with Anand, Godavari and Happy Days is currently producing Avakai Biryani in the direction of his associate Anish Kuruvilla. Telugu Film Producers' Council President Tammareddy Bharadwaja said that there was no political unity in the Telugu film industry. Gokaraju is the title given to the underproduction film of Visu Films, starring Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy (as CM) and Brahmanandam. The film is a mookie on the lines of Kamal Hassan's film Pushpaka Vimanam, directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao. With the election season already gripping the state, this film said to be a mirror to some of the prevailing social issues, assumed significance. Arun Prasad is the director. Film biggies at Chiru's Tea party
Actor turned politician Chiranjeevi this evening hosted a tea party to the members of film industry at Ramanaidu Studios, Hyderabad. The attendees included Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Mohan Babu, Uday Kiran, K.Raghavendra Rao, A. Kodandarami Reddy, MM Keeravani, DVS Raju, Devi Sri Prsaad, Viswanath, Ashwini Dutt, Dr. KL Narayana, K.C. Sekhara Babu, B. Gopal, Pokuri Babu Rao, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, Trivikram Srinivas and others. On this occasion, Chiranjeevi said that he couldn't think of bidding farewell to the film industry, which took him into her caring fold during the last three decades. "I am not leaving the film industry, but going away from it to take up my mission for the people. I hope my film fraternity would welcome my course of action hereafter." Mohan Babu, who is viewed as an opponent of Chiru, surprised all by attending the event. "I came here on the invitation of Chiranjeevi for a tea party. Namaskaraniki prathi namaskaram na samskaram," he maintained. The media was not allowed to take part in the event. About three hundred fans gathered at the venue and shouted slogan in favour of Chiranjeevi, hailing his leadership.

Chiru's political advisor Dr. Mitra said that Chiranjeevi's Party is like Laddu and fans are like cashew nuts in it. Talking to fans and newly joined political leaders into Chiru party at Nellore, Mitra tried to settle the ruffled weather between them. When fans complained that they were not given due prominence by the political leaders, the political advisor responded to them so. "There should not be any quarrels among you. Let us fight united. This feeling of isolation will work against our goals," he said.

Karunakaran with Ram, Tarun
Director A. Karunakaran, whose latest film is Ullasanga Utsahanga, is going to direct a couple of films in the coming months. He told Idlebrain.com that he has prepared the subjects for heroes Ram and Tarun and the projects are likely to take off in the coming months. He also said that he looked forward to direct Pawan Kalyan again, and it might come into a reality soon. "I am waiting for the call from Kalyan babu," he said.

Chiru, Mahesh fans clash in Vizag
One person was injured when the fan groups of actors Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu clashed at Prasad Gardens, Vizag, this morning. Chiru fans came to the venue to celebrate the birthday of their star and allegedly removed a cutout of Mahesh Babu there. Knowing this the group owing allegiance to Mahesh Babu arrived there leading to a tiff. The injured person was one Bujji, who was admitted to a nearby hospital. Rajni-Murugudas film likely
Superstar Rajnikanth is likely to do a film with Murugudas, before the regular shoot of his Robot with Shankar would start. In view of heavy graphic works and production schedules involved, the making is expected to run for about a year or even more. The performance of Rajni's Kuselan (Kathanayakudu) further led to regret on the part of the superstar. Murugudas told the media that he had put the proposal with Rajnikanth and waiting for his final nod. If everything goes well, this action film might roll in a couple of months, reports said. Murugudas' directed Ghazni with Aamir Khan is racing ahead for release in a few weeks.

Nag B'Day with King unit
Akkineni Nagarjuna will be celebrating his birthday (on August 29) with the unit members of his latest film King. Currently, the shoot is going on in city. On Aug 29th evening, the birthday function will be held at Taj Krishna, Hyderabad. For the first time a press meet will be held to detail about the film King at the venue, sources said. It is of interest to note that on Aug 29 last year, the logo of Don was launched.

NTR, Chiru no comparison: Minister
Central Minister Jairam Ramesh said that there was no political vacuum in the state. He spoke to reporters at Guntur. "NTR was like God to many people in the state and they used to believe as divine incarnation due to the impact he created through roles like Krishna and Rama. It is not the case with Chiranjeevi," he said. He sought that "there should not be any comparison between Chiru and NTR as the former was being viewed as man attached to a particular community."

On the occasion of Chiranjeevi's 53rd birthday today, a big gathering of Chiru fans (Chiru Youth) have launched Lakshmi Narayana Yagam at Annamayyapuram near Hi-tech City. The priests performing the ritual said this yagam would be generally held for the social wellbeing of all. Meanwhile, a mega fan initiated Chandiyagam at Kanchi, though Chiru said personally he had nothing to do with the ritual.

Chiru about B'Day & Tirupati meet
Actor turned politician Chiranjeevi clarified that he would be celebrating his birthday with their family members. He brushed aside the rumors that he would be celebrating his birthday at Kanchi. "I don't have anything to do with the yagams and pujas at Kanchi. I don't even know who are the people conducting those rituals," he said. He once again appealed to the fans not to come to Hyderabad on August 22. Referring to the petition against holding his debut public meeting at Avilala Cheruvu in Tirupati on August 26, Chiru hoped that with the support of the people the Tirupati Sabha would pass off peacefully. He was confident that the Supreme Court verdict would be in his favor. "Small obstacles like these would not slow down our speed," he observed. "I will be in Tirupati on August 25 and 26. I urge all those who will not be able to attend the Tirupati meet to do sapling of plants in their areas."

Meher Ramesh with Prabhas?
Meher Ramesh, who debuted as director into Tollywood with NTR's Kantri, is said to have readied a story for hero Prabhas. If everything goes well, this proposed film might be launched in the coming months. Currently, Prabhas is engaged to a home production film.

SC green signal to Tirupati meet
The Supreme Court today granted permission for holding the first ever public meeting of actor Chiranjeevi at Avilala Cheruvu in Tirupati on August 26. The court, however, postponed hearing on the petition filed against holding the event at the said venue by a Tirupati-based intellectual forum, contending that it was against the Environment Protection Act. With the apex court ruling, Chiru camp heaved a sigh of relief and intensified the arrangements.

Farzana's item song in Mallepuvvu
Choreographer turned heroine Farzana is doing an item song in Bhumika's film Mallepuvvu in the direction of V. Samudra. The shoot is currently underway at Athadu Set near Nanakramguda cine village, Hyderabad. The film starring Bhumika in the lead with a new comer doing the male lead is touted as a romantic film. Its music was recently released. NRI Mohan Vadlapatla is the producer.

Chandu's Vesavi Selavullo
Chandu, who debuted as director with successful film 10th Class, is getting ready for his next film titled Vesavi Selavullo (In Summer Holidays). Chandu said Pravin Moghal, a student of the famed London's Trinity Music College, is introduced as the music director for this film. The recording of songs is currently progressing in Chennai. The film will have all debut artistes, whose selection will be made through a website soon. Further details of the crew and production house will also be made known.

Ajanta music released
Music of Ajantha, a film in four South Indian languages, is today launched at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad. Made on Ellora Movie Club Inc banner, it has story, screenplay, dialogues, direction and production by Rajppa Ravisangar. Ilayaraja scored music for this 8-songed audio album for the film. Producer C. Kalyan unveiled the audio CD and presented it to Saikiran, who played male lead in the film. Ravisangar said that the audio CD was priced at Rs. 19/- to kill piracy. A 4-songed video CD will also be available at Rs. 6, he maintained. The film is set for release soon.

JD Chakri’s debut film Homam is all set for a worldwide release on 28 August. This film will be premiered on 27 August evening in INOX multiplex of Vijayawada. The pooja ceremony of the same was performed by Urmila Gunnam recently. Raja Sekhar will also produce this film on ‘My Friends Creations’ with the help of his NRI friends in USA. This film deals with how the software culture changed the texture of the society in AP. The story deals around 9 characters. There will be four male leads and three female leads. Petition against Chiru's Tirupati meet
A Tirupati-based voluntary organization today filed a petition in the Supreme Court, seeking its intervention to stop holding of a public meeting by actor-turned politician Chiranjeevi in pilgrim town Tirupati on August 26th. The petition alleged that as per the Environmental Protection Act, arranging of public meetings is not allowed at the proposed venue, Avilala cheruvu in the town. In this connection, advocate from Chiranjeevi had filed a counter petition. The honorable court is expected to take up hearing in this matter on Thursday, reports said.

Chiru Sankharavam released
Senior politician Harirama Jogayya, who quit the Congress party and resigned to his MP seat (from Narsapuram), today joined the Chiranjeevi's Party officially. On this occasion, the yet-to-be-named party president Chiranjeevi unveiled an Audio album CD- Chiru Sankharavam, produced by the senior politician with lyrics by Anant Sriram and music by Satyam. "Harirama Jogayya has been my well-wisher and producer of my films for the last several years. He played a vital role in my marriage. Hari Prasad is no more
Actor and Chiranjeevi friend Hari Prasad expired today evening due to cardiac arrest. He was fainted at a TV studio in Hyderabad, where he was there to talk in favor of Chiru and his political party. It is found that Hari Prasad was under moderate fasting since four days. He was later admitted to a hospital, where he expired due to cardiac arrest. Hari Prasad was the roommate of Chiranjeevi when he was doing his diploma in acting. Hari Prasad got famous though his Sadhu character in Dasari’s Sivaranjani. He is also one of the producers of Chiranjeevi’s blockbuster Yamudiki Mogudu. Hari Prasad is survived by a wife, a son and a daughter. May his soul rest in peace. CM inaugurates Vizag film studio

The scheduled media conference of actor Chiranjeevi at 2.30 P.M. on 17 August has turned into curious news for the people, as they have been waiting for the hour to hear from the actor himself with clarity. However, Allu Arvind appealed to the fans, party activists and supporters not to come to the party office since the event strictly being an announcement to the media. Ashok Kumar Raju said that of the six songs, two songs were richly canned in Bangkok. The film was shot in Hyderabad, Tirupati and Bangkok. This is a bilingual in Telugu and Tamil and is planned to release in September. Made on Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures banner, it has debut director Ajay Sastry, who earlier worked with Krishnavamsi. Debutant Achhu scores music. It is of interest to recall that Ajay Sastry during initial days of the filmmaking denied the observations that the film had resemblances to some films based on the subject of Alzheimer's disease. He threw a bet that if it could be so, he would arrange a trip to Singapore for those who would establish the contention logically.

The shoot of Bollywood's sex-bomb Rakhi Sawant's item song in Nitin-Priyamani starrer Drona is done and it is expected to be a major highlight. Produced by debutant director Karunakar, a student of Rajamouli's school, it is produced by DN Rao. Bob Anthony, who was last seen in films Pasivadi Pranam and Satruvu, is playing a key role in this flick. Currently, fight master Selva is supervising the stunts scenes between Nitin and fighters. Kelly Dorjee plays the main villain. Rao said that the film was a mass entertainer, showing Nitin as a brilliant young man who also uses his muscle power to trounce the baddies. RNM buys newspapers after dusk
Red star and producer R. Narayanamurthy today became the cynosure at the busy Rehmathnagar chowrastha in Hyderabad. On seeing the actor purchasing newspapers at a small shop at a corner, some of the passersby reached him and tried to interact with him. But, the actor found himself busy going through the headlines and browsing through the pages; and confined himself to a couple of stock words – Hello Brother, bagunnara? Thank you. Later, carrying a bundle of newspapers, he slowly walked away and disappeared at another corner. The actor is known for his down-to-earth lifestyle, moving by foot and in autos. The newspaper seller said that he was surprised to see the actor. "I tried not to take the money from him. By the time I could express it, he paid it. It is first time that I see him in this area. TDP supreme and former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for the first time broke his silence over the proposed party of actor Chiranjeevi. Talking to reporters at Anantapur today, after holding the party's politburo meet, Naidu said that Chiranjeevi was making a hasty jump into politics. He shot a direct question at the social service activities of the actor, "What did he do to society so far?" Referring to the activities of Chiranjeevi Blood Bank, Naidu said that TDP had been organizing such blood donation campaign since for long. Meanwhile, the TDP politburo termed Chiranjeevi's ready for launch party as a meteor, "which emerges with mighty radiance only to disappear after its stuff is burnt."

The music of Kotha Bangaru Lokam, a Dil Raju-produced film in the debut direction of Srikanth, starring Varun Sandesh (a Happy Days hero), is going to release on August 23rd. It has music by Mickey J. Mayer. Sources said the film is planned to release on October 2nd. The film is an out and out a youthful film in the backdrop of college.

Dongalabandi's swimming pool search
Unit of Dongalabandi, the directorial debut of writer Vegesna Satish, is going to have an exciting shooting schedule under water. The story is about a group of thieves, starred by Allari Naresh, Ali and others, stranger to each other but moving together for treasure hunt. A treasure chest found in thick forests slips into a water course and takes a nosedive into surging waterfalls and disappears. These shots were already shot in Talakona forests in Chittoor district. Now, the treasure hunt has to begin underwater, for which a swimming pool is required, to take shots like the sequences in Sahasa Veerudu Sagara Kanya. As the swimming pool in Ramanaidu studios is not available for shoot, the unit tried at RFC, but it turned somehow costly. Now, their requirement is settled at Radhika Farms, owned by family members of PV Rajeswara Rao, son of late Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, located at about 40 km from the outskirts of Hyderabad in jungle-like ambience. The underwater sequence is said to be the climax shot. The charges for swimming pool here is five times less than the RFC. It was here that Neelakanta shot his film Nandanavanam 120 KM.

Fighter Fish Venkat mobbed
Fish Venkat, a popular screen fighter who is mostly seen in the company of baddies, was excited to see a big fandom for him. Returning from the birthday celebrations of actor Srihari at a private hall in Hyderabad, Fish Venkat was surrounded by a several persons holding small papers and visiting cards – seeking autographs from him. Hectic efforts for Tirupati sabha
The Rajivnagar open place in Tirupati is selected as the venue for Chiranjeevi's proposed public meeting, tentatively on August 26th. The local leaders of Chiru party and fans associations took up clearing bushes and thorns from the area and leveling the ground with the help of JCBs. In view of heavy garnering of masses for the event, prospective aspirants are said to have booked private buses in advance from various places to reach Tirupati.

Mallanna shoot over by 80%
Mallanna, Vikram's new film in the direction of Sushi Ganeshan, is finished to its shoot by 80 percent. The film made on V Creations banner is produced by Kalai Puli. It is a bilingual in Telugu and Tamil. Sriya plays the heroine. Hero Vikram and director Sushi Ganeshan spoke to the media in Hyderabad today. Vikram said: "The shoot is finished by 80 percent. For the first time, an Indian film (Mallanna) was being shot in Mexico. There, we shot two song sequences and one bull fight. The film is made very stylishly and also with a powerful message. My role will give the feel of an Indian James Bond. Though I wear many getups, all of them are situational in tune with the story. Very soon, my lady getup would be shot in Hyderabad. Currently, we are shooting some scenes pertaining to the heroine's house. Apart from excellent stunts, another highlight is music by Devi Sri Prasad. We are planning to release the film in December." Director Sushi Ganeshan said the film has superb technical values, including the shoot in balloon light. Cinematography is by Ekambaran.

Rajasekhar's donation to rain victims
Glamour couple Rajasekhar and Jeevita, who recently joined the Congress Party, called on Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy at his chambers and donated a cheque for Rs. 5 lakh towards relief to victims of the recent floods. They appealed to their fans to undertake relief operations in the rain-hit areas and desired that all kind-hearted people should come forward to extend liberal donations.

Salute premiered in KL
Vishal's bilingual film Salute was premiered on Tuesday night at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Tamil version was watched by more than 700 people. Vishal told Idlebrain.com that there was a huge expectation about the film in Singapore and Malaysia, which holds out a dominant Tamil community. The film is releasing on the eve of Independence (Aug 14) worldwide with about 800 prints.

The newly inaugurated Party office of actor Chiranjeevi turned into a structure of fascination thanks to its optimal utilization of fast spreading construction technology. Located at Rd. At last, Pawan-Nandini separate
At last, curtains came down on the vexed 14-month divorce issue of Pawan Kalyan's and his estranged wife Nandini with the Vizag court delivering its verdict on Tuesday. The issue finally had tread the path of compromise after taking several twists and turns. Both Pawan Kalyan and Nandini deposed themselves before the court today. With the actor agreeing that he had resorted to bigamy and Nandini seeking divorce, the honorable judge pronounced the divorce to the couple. Shoot will resume in J&K: Producer
The news of a miscreant-attack on the unit of Jagapati Babu-Meera Jasmine film at Sonamarg in Jammu and Kashmir today spread like wildfire in Tollywood circles here. Reports said that some unidentified persons attacked the unit members and forced them to abandon the film shoot. This film is made on Sowbhagya Media. Its producer Jagadish Prasad, however, clarified that no attack took place, but some unidentified persons 'warned the unit members' to leave the place and stall shooting. Due to this, the shooting was interrupted for a brief while, but the unit would be resuming the shoot and would return to Hyderabad only after finishing the stipulated schedule. Jagapati Babu spoke to the media from Sonamarg saying that former Union Minister Dasari Narayana Rao was personally monitoring the developments and was in constant touch with the unit members.

Nitin injured in a fight sequence
Nitin was injured in a stunt sequence for a film at Ramoji film city at around 6:30 pm. He was hitting a tube light as a part of his stunt sequence and that broken glass of the tube light hit on his face. He is taken to Apollo Hospital now. The hospital sources said that the injury is very minor and nothing to be worried about.

Goons attack Jagapati film shoot in Kashmir

CM to ribbon-cut Vizag Studio

Actor Suman visited Penchalakona in Nellore district and offered prayers at the temple of Lord Nrisimhaswami. He was administered with traditional welcome by the temple priests. He said though it was his dream to visit the temple, it hadn't been possible for the last fifteen years, but came into reality now. He distributed sarees, blankets and dhotis to the poor. "I will soon be launching several social service activities all over the state," he said. He confirmed that he would soon be turning into director for a family entertainer. "The love and affection of Nellore district people is always special to me, because I started my film career from Nellore," he said. Currently, he is busy with seven underproduction films in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada.

Nagababu's Sadhu launched
A new film titled Sadhu, starring Nagababu in the lead role, was launched at the Annapoorna 7 Acres, Hyderabad on August 8th. Produced by LV Raju ( a senior production executive), the flick is directed by popular cinematographer Anji. Lakshjmi Narasimha Arts Productions is making this film. A puja ceremony was conducted on this occasion which saw the participation of the cast, crew and their family members. The muhurt shot was taken on the portraits of the Gods. Producer Raju said: "Nagababu garu is doing the prime role with full of humanism in it. He saves the life of an orphan girl from danger. After that what kind of problems he would face would form the main story. This is a commercial action film. Ali's comedy is one of the highlights. The shoot will be finished by September end." Archana, Rahul Dev, MS Narayana, LB Sriram, Dr. Sivaprasad, Surekha Vani and others form the cast. Stunts are by Ram-Lakshman.

Okanokappudu is hi-def film
Okanokappudu is an experimental film in hi-definition digital format which is releasing on September 5th. Made on Virinchi Creations banner, it has Benerjee, Telangana Sakuntala, Melkote, Subbaraya Sarma and others playing vital roles. Direction is by Krishna Nori. Music is by Ilya, a Hollywood composer. Chiru's Chandiyagam at Kanchi
Megastar Chiranjeevi is going to perform the two-day sacred Chandiyagam at the temple of Goddess Kamakshi at Kancheepuram, on August 21 and 22. Temple priest Natana Sastry said that he would personally supervise the auspicious ritual with 50 veda pandits. He said though the yagam would commence on 21st, the actor would be arriving on 22, but couldn't say at what time exactly. "Chandi Yagam is meant for getting riches and political power. In the past, the same yagam was performed by Vajapayee and Rajiv Gandhi," he said.

Parugu turns 100 Days
Allu Arjun's film Parugu today completed its 100 days run. Marking the occasion, a big cake was cut at Dil Raju's office in Hyderabad. Briefing the media, Dil Raju said that the film registered its 100 days in 54 centers all over the state. He termed Parugu as harbinger of another hatrick for him, having scored the first one with – Dil, Arya and Bommarillu. Bommarillu Bhaskar thanked Dil Raju and said: "For all my success in Telugu film industry, I owe it to Dil Raju, without whose support I wouldn't have been what I am today. Sumanth, Charmme launch Helios Contest

Tirupati MLA in CM's film
Tirupati MLA Venatramana is doing the role of Police commissioner in Visu Films' project, starring Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy as the reel CM. The legislator took part in the shooting for a couple of days at Ramanaidu Studios, alongside comedian Brahmanandam and actress Veda. He said that he felt at joy acting in this film, which projects Dr. YSR in the prime role. Venkatramana, a close associate of Dasari, holds good aesthetic sense having worked in several stage plays and doing small roles in some films.

Hero Sushanth's big dream
Nag's nephew and hero Sushanth expressed his desire to act in the films of NTR, Kalyanram and Prabhas. He was at Pulivendula to attend the marriage function of a family friend. After wishing the couple, he spoke to the media and said that it he didn't have any limitations to work as solo hero, but ready to act with big stars, given an opportunity. Adi Vishnu on Aug 21

Allu Arvind visited Tirupati
Producer Allu Arvind received a roaring welcome in the pilgrim town of Tirupati when he arrived there to scout the location for the proposed public meeting for Chiranjeevi in Tirupati, on the eve of or followed by the party launch. Hundreds of fans thronged the Renigunta airport and welcomed Arvind with garlands and petel rain. Later, local strongman and producer NV Prasad accompanied Arvind, showing him various grounds, stadiums and open areas in and around Tirupati. Prasad, who got defeated as TDP candidate in the last assembly elections, personally introduced the cadres of Chiru fans to Arvind. Later, he said that he had nothing to do with Chiranjeevi's party. "I just accompanied Allu Arvind and showed him the locations for the public meeting on his request. Earlier, I arranged the 100 days function of Chiru's Pasivadipranam, and shooting of some vital scenes for Indra and Tagore. This is also like that. I will continue with Telugu Desam party only."

Manirathnam's 120C film for Reliance
South's famed filmmaker Manirathnam is going to launch his next film, which happens to be a trilingual in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The Reliance Entertainments of Anil Ambani is producing the flick with a stunning budget of Rs. 120 crore, the biggest ever in the history of Indian cinema. Abhishekh Bachchan plays the lead in Hindi, while Vikram does it Tamil and Telugu. Aishwarya Roy plays the heroine in all the three languages. While Abhishek does a key role in southern languages, it is by Vikram in Hindi. Govinda is also expected to act in Hindi venture. The shoot will commence at Karaikudi in Tamilnadu on August 10th and a sizable portion is planned in Madhya Pradesh. The subject is said to have been woven based on the Ramayana. NTR-Vinay film from 28
NTR-VV Vinayak's untitled film is expected to have its regular shoot from August 28th. The film produced by Singanamala Ramesh seems to offer a passionate entertainment for the mass audience in general and the fans in particular. Reports surfaced that Nandamuri Balakrishna was set to play a special role in the film. The long delay in the launch of the film is attributed to the hero's wait for a pucca script to suit him. Ileana is repeated as the heroine for NTR, after Rakhee. It is said that NTR plays the role of a cop in this project.

Neninthe: Puri's autobiography?
Neninthe, starring Ravi Teja, is under brisk shooting schedule. Produced by DVV Danayya and directed Puri Jagannath, the film projects Ravi Teja as an assistant director in the film. Mahesh's next three films
Mahesh Babu consented for three films, according to hero dad and superstar Krishna, today. He told the media at his residence that Mahesh-Trivikram Srinivas' film will be launched to the regular shoot in this month. Gowtham Menon's film with the actor will also be launched at the fag end of 2008. His project with Puri Jagannath will be in 2009. The scripts for all these three projects were ratified, Krishna said. Gowtham Menon-Mahesh film is bilingual in Telugu and Tamil. UTV Motion Pictures is producing the flick jointly with Manjula. As of Puri Jagan's film, it will be produced jointly by Soundarya Rajnikanth and Warner Brothers. Krishna felt that spread of his son's impact as an actor all over the country made him extremely happy. He assured that with three projects in the pipeline, it will go a long way in cheering up the fans.

Rajni-Aish to meet in US?
Rajnikanth's much-pampered film Robot with Shankar directing it will have its initial schedule of shoot in the US, for which the superstar is going fly to there in a few days. He himself confirmed this at Tirumala. Interestingly, Aishwarya Roy Bachchan, the heroine of Robot, is also in the US currently as part of Bachchan's worldwide Unforgettable tour. It is widely premised that the beauty queen might join the Robot unit for the shoot also. But, Rajni said he had no exact idea about Shankar's schedule planning.

Jayasudha into Congress
Stage is set for actress Jayasudha to join the Congress party in the presence of Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy and PCC chief D. Srinivas. Chiru party on Aug 26th?
Actor Chiranjeevi's political party is likely to be launched officially on August 26th, coinciding with Mother Theresa's Birthday. Widespread reports say the actor's camp is keen on announcing the party on August 17th, while launch is reserved on 26th. The proposed dates also have astrological sanction, it is learnt. Meanwhile, with Chiru party becoming a sure-for-reality dimension, the Congress party leaders in the state contend that Chiru's party will have no impact on their party. But, Cong's arch rival TDP is maintaining silence. The Left parties are said to be waiting for the party to get launched by Chiru, so that they could clarify their stand when it comes to forging political alliances in the state, with the general and assembly elections looming large in the first half of next year.

Ramya in Rajni's Sultan
Upcoming actress Ramya, who makes her debut as heroine in RK-starrer City Life, is going to be play a vital role in Rajnikanth's animation film Sultan The Warrior. Ramya told the media that she felt excited about getting associated with the superstar's film. To note here, Chennai girl Vijaylakshmi is doing the main female lead. It is produced by Rajni's daughter Soundarya. Also, Rajni was in Hyderabad till a few days back, taking part in the song sequences for Sultan in RFC and Annapoorna Studios. Srikanth-Srihari starrer soon
Srikanth and Srihari are starring in a new film in the direction of one Mourya with Thota Venkateswara Rao (producer of Sawal) making it, sources told Idlebrain. The film will be launched to its muhurt and regular shoot in the second week of this month. It is said to be a film in the backdrop of action, sentiment, comedy and romance. The remaining cast and crew would be finalized soon.

Poonam Singar's hot number
The film titled Mahanagaramlo Siva Chandu is under brisk shoot schedule over song sequences. Produced by Siva and directed by BLB Srinivas, the film stars Yashwant and Poonam Singar. The talkie part is over, while a couple of songs are left out. Siva said that recently a song was shot on heroine Poonam Singar at Pragati Resorts, Hyderabad and it is expected to be a hot number in the film. This romantic love story is planned to have its screen hit in September.

Chiru is not God: Vijayshanti
Actress and Talli Telangana party leader Vijayashanti today questioned the silence of actor Chiranjeevi over the Telengana issue. Talking to reporters at her party office, Vijayashanti said that Chiranjeevi was neither a god or nor a person who is capable of doing miracles. "What is the specialty and greatness of Chiranjeevi?", she asked. She found fault with the media, which she alleged, is tilting in favor of Chiranjeevi and giving him publicity though he has not clarified his political stand till date. She was also critical of the media for not giving publicity to her party and its struggle for Telangana cause.

No politics in fans activities: Minister
Health minister Galla Arunakumari today clarified that the welfare activities of the fans of Mahesh and Krishna has nothing to do with politics. The minister, who is related to Krishna (as her son married Krishna's daughter), said that Krishna's family was actively involved in social service activities since three decades, but they stayed away from publicity. She attended a medical camp organized by the fans at Institute of Preventive Medicine at Narayanaguda in Hyderabad. The association president Diddi Rambabu said that had only Krishna family went in for publicity, it could have easily entered the records of the Guinness Book for the blood donation camps organized in a massive manner, away from media blare. Currently, the fans are celebrating the week-long Birthday celebrations of the young superstar, with the day falling on August 9.

Rajnikanth prays at Tirumala
Superstar Rajnikanth today offered prayers at the famous hilltop temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala. A mammoth crowd thronged him at the temple entrance, but the police personnel controlled the situation. He told the media that he was leaving for the US as part of his forthcoming film with Shankar - Robot. He expressed satisfaction that Kathanayakudu was received well by the Telugu audiences. Mahesh Babu's B'Day celebrations
The week-long birthday celebrations of actor Mahesh Babu commenced today with multitudes of fans performing pujas at the temples statewide, besides doing poor feeding and distribution of fruit to the patients at the hospitals. Three films ranging from whopping to moderate budgets are releasing on August 14th on the eve of I-Day. Raghu Kunche's Love of Memory
Playback singer turned music director Raghu Kunche is going to launch his album "Love In New York" by month end. Other than this, he is planning another album titled "Love of Memory" with five songs – each on Mother, Native Place, First Enemy, First Friend and First Crush. "These are the five things which will continue to be with each and every person. They will definitely be haunts for a life time. I have selected these themes for my next album," Raghu Kunche said. Regarding Love in New York, "it is under final mixing at RFC."

Sindhu Menon's awaits farewell?
Actress Sindhu Menon, who made into Tollywood with Srihari's Badrachalam, said that she had no time to spare for Tollywood hereafter. She told Idlebrain, "I am tightly engaged to Tamil and Malayalam films. By the time I will be free, this year might pass off." She is currently doing two Tamil films. Apart from this, she is shooting for one Malayalam film, while another is expecting release on August 15th. She has also signed two more films in Malayalam. When asked whether she was expecting stardom in Malayalam, she said, "Yes." Going by her words, it seems that Rainbow, a ready for release film of VN Aditya, might be her swan song in Tollywood.

Dhee, Ready in Kannada
Producer Aditya Babu bought the Kannada remake rights of Dhee and Ready at fancy offers, it is said. He is likely to star as hero in the film Dhee, leaving Ready to Punith Rajkumar. Currently, he made his debut as hero in the Kannada remake of Venkatesh hit film AMAV.

Retired officers in Nagababu film
About a dozen retired government officers will be making their debut in Nagababu's new film, which was launched recently. Nagababu plays a vital role as a government officer, who tries to set right his wastrel son. Produced by B. Vaikunta Rao, it is directed by LCH Ganesh. "The role of Nagababu and his struggle for social justice will make the film a moving entertainer," said its producer. Its regular shoot will commence soon.

Veedi Jimmada about call centers
A new film titled Veedi Jimmada is coming up the call centers culture. Aditya Om and Mounika are playing the lead roles. Debutante Balu is the director. MA Rajkumar is producer. "The regular shoot will commence from August second week. It has the backdrop of call centers. Comedy is given a prominent place." The shooting will take place in Vizag, Araku and Hyderabad. Music is by Vandemataram Srinivas.

Meera Chopra's goodbye to films?
Heroine Meera Chopra expressed her desire to say goodbye to films after she gets married. The girl made her debut with Satyam Sivam Sundaram, a Nitin starrer, which has not yet been released. But, she came to limelight with Pawan Kalyan's Bangaram. After MS Raju's Vaana, she is now doing the second fiddle in bilingual Jaganmohini. "I wish to get married by year end. I will be satisfied if I could get the right man who could love me much." Responding to query about her love with a Delhi boy, she said: "Yes." But, the romance didn't materialize. "If I quit movies, I will go back to my original profession…journalism," reports said, quoting the actress.
