Maoists question Chiru's guts
A week after the launch of Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam Party, the Maoists have today responded to the developments. A two-and-half-paged statement in the name of Maoist Party's state unit spokesman Janardhan was issued. "It is impossible for film star Chiranjeevi to realize social justice even though he comes to power. Does Chiranjeevi dare to confiscate the illegally amassed wealth, landed properties of huge assets of corrupt politicians, higher officials of government and real estate mafia?" the statement questioned. The Maoist representative further said that the party is seriously studying the objective of Praja Rajyam after its launch at Tirupati meet. "It is escapism on the part of Chiranjeevi over some of the important issues. As he didn't come out clearly on Telangana issue, it could be easily understood the forces behind him." The statement criticized the remarks of Chiru who said at the public meet that Naxalites were of the opinion that they could achieve change in society by killing people. "This is nothing but ignorance of the actor." Interestingly, the statement added that in view of the political crisis and people's large-scale dissatisfaction with the government, Chiranjeevi could even come to power and it was not a surprise. The Maoists leader clarified that their party could make its stand on Praja Rajyam clear only after Chiranjeevi would come out with his full-fledged agenda.
