17th
April 2004
Soundarya
- the Sahaja Nati who ruled the Telugu film industry over
a decade like a queen - is no more. She met untimely death
when the four-seater-flight (Agni Aviation) crashed at Jakkur,
near Bangalore on the morning of 17th April 2004. All the
bodies of Soundarya and other people were burnt to ashes at
the location of accident. She was traveling to Karim Nagar,
AP to campaign for Bharatiya Janata Party. The flight crashed
immediately 10 minutes after taking off. 3 more persons including
Soundarya's brother Amarnath expired in this gruesome accident.
She was supposed to tour the Parliament constituency of Karim
Nagar for 2 days.
Entire
Telugu film industry and the telugu movie lovers are in a
state of shock after coming to know about this incident. She
completed 100 films in Telugu so far. The current projects
in which she is playing female lead in Telugu are Nartanasaala
(as Droupati in Bala Krishna directorial debut) and Shiva
Shankar (with Mohan Babu as hero).
We,
along with the visitors of idlebrain.com, deeply mourn the
untimely death of our great actress. May her soul rest in
peace.
