Triple platinum disc function of Prabhas’s latest film Munna was held at Club Jayabheri, Madapur, Hyderabad on the night of 24 May. This function was attended by Puri Jagan, MS Raju, BVSN Prasad, Prabhas, Gemini Kiran, ML Kumar Chowdary, Dil Raju, Sirish - Lakshman, Vamsi Paidipally, Bhaskarabhatla, Viswa, Anant Sreeram, Kandikonda, Siva, Ravi, Ram Prasad, Anand Sai, Marthand K Venkatesh, Bhaskar, Lagadapati Sridhar etc.
MS Raju described Munna as another summer hit to Raju. He also said that all films are doing well in this summer.
Puri Jagan appreciated Dil Raju for doing uncompromising films and encouraging new talent.
Director Vamsi Paidipally said, “Music director Harris Jayaraj’s work is the reason behind the success of audio. I came to film industry with a passion. Dil Raju gave me an opportunity. We all worked hard. We were bit tensed for the first 2 days after the release. Now the film is going housefuls even in the 4th week, which means that repeat audiences are coming to the theater. I would like to thank the audience.”
Producer Dil Raju said, “This is the 5th film on our banner after 4 continuous super hits. This film is doing well even in fourth week. Prabhas and Harris Jayaraj are the main reason for this success. Vamsi proved his mettle with this film. Munna is a changeover in our banner. It is natural to get criticism when we opt for changeover. Now it is running with super hit talk. We started the shooting in April 2006. Prabhas concentrated on this film for the whole one year.”
Prabhas said that ‘Manasa’ song is his favorite.
