Audio function of Sumanth's latest film 'Gowri' was held at Annapurna studios on the night of 11th August 2004. ANR and Nagarjuna attended as the chief guests. The other celebrities who graced this occasion include SV Krishna Reddy, K Vijaya Bhaskar, D Suresh Babu, Maganti Babu, Koti, Sumanth, Charmy, Shriya, Sravanthi Ravi Kishore, BV Ramana and Shankar.

ANR praised Sravanthi Ravi Kishore for his knowledge and expertise in filmmaking. He teased Charmy by saying that she looks so gorgeous that he would like to dance with her. He wished that some producer would come forward with a film titled 'Musali Mogudu - Padachu Pellam' with ANR and Charmy in the main lead.

Koti thanked the producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore for giving him the opportunity. Kori said that Sumanth's performance is going to be highlight of this film. Koti said that there is no replacement for ANR in Telugu film industry. The only man who has the qualification to replace ANR is Sumanth. Koti requested Sumanth to act in remakes of ANR films like Bhakta Tukaram, Devdas etc.

Nagarjuna thanked the fans for encouraging Akkineni Vamsam.

Sumanth defined Gowri as 'Out and out mass film with class touch'. He worked hard for this film. Sumanth announced that this would be first action mass flick for Sravanthi Ravi Kishore. He thanked Ravi Kishore for bearing with him though each of action sequence took 10 days. The action part of the film was canned for 35 days. He thanked Koti for the compliment and would look forward to do roles played by ANR. He thanked K Vijaya Bhaskar and Trivikram for congratulating him by saying it is a hit film after watching the double positive of 'Gowri'. Sumanth remembered the words of ANR who told him that the only property he is giving to his sons and grandsons are fans of Akkineni Vamsam. He thanked fans for sticking with him through thick and thin times and declared that Gowri is a film that is made for fans.

ANR, Nagarjuna, SV Krishna Reddy, D Suresh Babu, K Vijaya Bhaskar and Shriya released a song each. Sunitha anchored the event. Sohan music has bought the audio rights of this film. Lots of Akkineni fans graced this function to make it lively.
