Audio of Venkatesh's latest film Sankranthi was released at a function arranged in Rama Naidu studios on the night of 20th January 2005. Sarath Kumar, K Raghavendra Rao and D Rama Naidu were invited as guests. The actors who graced this occasion include Venkatesh, Arti Agarwal, Aditi Agarwal, Sarada, Sneha, Sudhakar, Srikanth, Siva Balaji and Sarvanand.

Sarath Kumar and K Raghavendra Rao released the audio and gave the first unit to D Rama Naidu.

D Rama Naidu said that he has seen Tamil version Anandam and there are very good heart touching sentimental scenes in that film. Each and every character in that film had identification. RB Chowdary is a good friend of D Rama Naidu.

Tamil hero Sarath Kumar said that he worked as hero for 14 films produced by RB Chowdary. He acted as hero in Suryavamsam which was later remade in Telugu with the same title with Venkatesh as hero. Sarath Kumar has seen and Anandam film and felt that it would become a super hit in Telugu too.

Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao said that Urvasi Sarada is starting her 3rd innings through this film. This film is a story about joint family and the relationships shared by four brothers. He commended that Muppalaneni Siva is good at working out sentimental scenes very well and it would help the film as well.

Music director SA Raj Kumar said Sankranthi is his 150th film as music director in his career. His 100th film Nuvvu Vastavani went on to become a big hit. This film is 24th film with Super Good films and 45th Telugu film. He scored music for Suryavamsam, Kalisundam Raa, Raja and Vasantham for Venkatesh and all those films went on to become blockbusters. He professed that this film too would be a big hit.

Muppalaneni Siva said that it was Dr. D Rama Naidu who gave him life as director with Taj Mahal film. And RB Chowdary gave a big break by offering Raja film. And Sankranthi film has all gradients to become blockbuster. This film has lots of scope for music. Sarada is reentering field after a log gap. Her last film was Anthapuram. Siva worked with Srikanth for Gilligajjalu and Taj Mahal. This is his 3rd film with him.

Actress Sarada said that it was difficult to act after taking so many years of gap. She found it hard on the day one of shooting and from 2nd day onwards she was in her elements as an actress. She knew Muppalaneni Siva from the days of Nyayam Kavali. She said that Sankranthi is the film with good family values.

Hero Venkatesh said that Sankranthi film explores the human relations and emphasizes on the greatness of joint family. This film would also influence the current nucleus family system to think for a joint family system.

Anupama anchored this event. Aditya Music bought the audio rights of this film. Sankranthi audio would be in market on 21st January 2005.
