Krishna and Vijaya Nirmala received the 'Akkineni Abhinaya Puraskaram' on the morning of 13th March from Akkineni from Assembly Speaker KR Suresh Reddy at a function arranged in Ravindra Bharati.

Akkineni Nageswara Rao complimented that Krishna and Vijaya Nirmala stand as ideal and inspiring couple in personal life as well as in film industry. Akkineni Nageswara Rao said that Krishna does not have any jealousy and is very kind. The kindness of Krishna has become the stepping stone for Krishna's success, opined ANR. ANR said that he worked with 82 heroines - including Vijaya Nirmala - so far. He said that Telugu film industry should be proud of Vijaya Nirmala who made a place for herself in Guinness Book of World Records.

Award recipient Krishna said that ANR is one the few great actors of Indian Cinema. It was ANR who inspired Krishna to enter film industry through his films. Vijaya Nirmala said that she is feeling previlaged to have directed so many talented artists in her career as director.
