NTR
has taken magnanimous decision of compensating the
buyers who lost money in distributing NTRs last film
Andhrawala. He would be acting in Alludu film that
is being made by Giri who produced Andhrawala and
this film would be given at reasonable prices (just
selling film at the cost of production) to the same
distributors so that they can get smile back on their
faces.
Hot
heroines Genelia and Shriya are playing main female
leads. Noted actress Ramya Krishna would be donning
a Atha (aunt) role for the first time in her career.
She acted as heroine and item song girl in the past.
But for the first time she is doing a character actress
in this film. Vara Mullapudi, son of veteran writer
Mullapudi Venkata Ramana (of Bapu-Ramana duo) would
be making his debut as Telugu film director with Alludu.
Devi Sri Prasad is scoring for NTR for the first time.
Muhurat
of Alludu was held at the office of Bharati Enterprises
on the morning of 29th May 2004. Three of NTRs directors
did the honors. B Gopal clapped the opening shot.
VV Vinayak switched on the camera. SS Raja Mouli directed
the first shot.
Synopsis
of Alludu:
Bhanumati (Ramya Krishna) is a millionaire business
magnate. She is so rich that a part of Hyderabad is
named after her and it is called as Bhanumatibagh.
She is also a proud mother of two beautiful daughters
(Shriya and Genelia). NTR is a MBA graduate and comes
to Ramya Krishna for a job. She offers him the job
of manager. Later on due to certain problem, Ramya
Krishna asks NTR to apologize for a mistake he has
not done. When NTR refuses to do so, she sacks him.
Then NTR decided that he should teach a lesson to
Ramya Krishna and starts his games with her daughters.
The rest of the film is all about how he makes Ramya
Krishna realize her mistakes.
NTR
Mullapudi sentiment
Vara Mullapudi said that this is his first venture
in Telugu. He has directed the Kannada version of
Anandam in the past. Mullapudi Venkata Ramana did
his first film with legend NTR as hero. Vara said
that he is feeling glad to make his first Telugu venture
with this NTR as hero.
No
buyer should lose on NTRs film
NTR said that when a film of big hero flops, hero,
director and producer do not suffer as they make enough
money. It is the buyers (distributors and exhibitors)
who suffer in the process. No buyer should lose on
NTRs film. Hence he is making Alludu so that this
film could be sold at a price of films production
cost. NTR affirmed that he would be doing compensatory
films in future too if he gets any flops.
Out
and out comedy film NTR
This film is a formula film about atha-alludu confrontation.
A director of K Raghavendra Rao caliber is needed
to direct this project. Since, he is busy; his protégé
Vara Mullapudi is directing this flick. This film
is an out and out comedy film with mass touch, he
added. This film would not have any vulgarity in terms
of relationship between atha-alludu.
Actress
Genelia said that this her second film with Giri (currently
doing Sye) and NTR (currently doing Samba). She is
feeling very comfortable working with this team. Shriya
expressed her happiness over working with NTR.
Giri
said that the story writer Vijayendra Prasad has prepared
this story for a film to be directed by SS Raja Mouli.
And when NTR-Giri approached, he gladly gave this
subject to them. Kodali Nani also helped Giri a lot
in this process.
