Punnami Naagu - A Kodandarami Reddy’s latest film with Mumaith Khan as heroine – is launched at a function arranged in Annapurna studios on the morning of 9 April. Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao switched on camera and Taraka Ratna sounded the clapboard. EVV Satyanarayana directed the first shot.
A Kodandarami Reddy said, “I worked for 12 films along with Yandamuri Veerendranadh. And all of them became huge blockbusters. This film is like an experiment. The producer has good taste in selecting subject. The regular shooting will start soon.”
Yandamuri Veerendranadh said, “This film will create new wave. The snake in this film will not take revenge, but it falls in love. This is a direct story. I want to write a novel once the film shooting is complete. Silk Smita who is known as vamp was given a decent role in Rakshasudu. Likewise Mumaith’s image will change after this film. I am currently staying in Kakinada by building and maintaining an orphanage for kids. The money I got through this film will be donated to that orphanage. I feel happy to be back in film again.”
G Vijaya Kumar Goud produces this film.
