The platinum disc function of "Sowryam", a Gopichand-Anushka combine film, was celebrated at Bramarambha-Mallikarjuna complex, Kukatpally, Hyderabad, on Friday night. The film is made on Bhavya Creations. Gopichand, Anushka, Raghubabu, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, Tannikella Bharani, dialogue writer Ratnam, lyricist Bhaskarabatla Ravi, director Shiva, producer Anand Prasad, distributors Pawan and Ramireddy were among those who took part in the function.

Ratnam, dialogue writer, said: "Your claps always made me write popular dialogues for films. I thank the audiences for their patronage to Sowryam."

Dharmavarapu Subramanyam said: "I can see the success of the film through your jolly mood, your happiness and shouts. Everything went well with the film and that is the reason why it became a success."

Gopichand said: "The producer believed in me and I believed in him. The distributors bought the film keeping belief in me. Now all are happy because of the audiences. The director worked hard for this film. All those who worked for the film are heroes. This is my sixth film with Mani Sharma's music. He extended superb melody for Sowryam. I thank all the audiences."

Anushka said: "I thank director Shiva. Generally, we will fret when a cinematographer takes up the megaphone. But, he really did a fantastic job. Each and every frame is nice. Cinematographer also did a fine work. My sincere thanks to one and all."

Anand Prasad said: "I thank Anne Ravi for executing this film. I also thank the audiences for making this film a big hit. Some films become success in some particular areas. But, Sowryam became a hit unanimously in all areas. I am happy that Sowryam did withstand the competition in the Dasara race. In future also, my production house will make similar films like Sowryam."

Shiva said: "I am happy at the success of Sowryam, my debut film as director. I thank Gopichand and Anand Prasad for their support. When I narrated the subject to Anushka, she laughed and said that the film could be a big hit provided I should film it just as I had narrated it."

All others who spoke expressed their happiness at the success of Sowryam.
