The
combination of Sumanth - Soorya Kiran that delivered
the blockbuster Satyam in the last year are back again.
This time with a film titled Dhana (51). This film
took off with the title 51, but later on it is changed
to Dhana with a caption 51.
Aiming
for 6th January 2005 release
Speaking on the occasion, producer ML Kumar Chowdary
said that he changed the title to Dhana from 51 because
Sumanth's last two films titled after hero (Satyam
and Gowri) were hits. Another reason for the title
change is the marketability of the film in B and C
centers. Shooting of the film is complete but for
a song and 5 days of talkie. The remaining song would
be picturized from 24th of this month. Dubbing of
the film is going on. Audio of Dhana would be releasing
in the month of December 2004. Sumanth has captured
the A centers' market with Satyam and B,C centers'
market with Gowri. Hence, the producer is expecting
this film to generate huge openings in all centers.
The probable release date of Dhana is 6th January
2005.
Sumanth
said that he is doing the role of Dhanunjay, whom
everybody calls as 'Dhana'.
Film
of team work - R Soorya Kiran
Director Soorya Kiran credited the success to teamwork
and said that Dhana is also being done with tremendous
teamwork. The story of the film is normal and the
narration is different. He said that he committed
the film even before start of Satyam film.
1st
regional film - Mukesh Khanna
Bollywood actor Mukesh Khanna (of Shaktiman fame)
said that Dhana is his first regional film. He was
flooded with offers earlier, but did not want to do
regional films as he did not have grasp of language.
He was impressed by the story and role, hence he accepted
to do the role of Police Commissioner in this film.
He is also willing to do his own dubbing as he feels
that an actor is incomplete without own dubbing. He
also explained how dialogue writer plays an important
role in elevating the actor's performance. He described
Sumanth as a hardworking boy and Soorya Kiran as enterprising
director.
Cinematographer
S Arun Kumar felt that Dhana is a simple film with
solid characterization.
