Sekhar Kammula’s Leader is all set to release on 11 February 2010. AVM Productions arranged a press meet today to announce the same.

Sekhar Kammula said, “I penned the script and started the movie when YSR was the chief minister. Several political twists happened after that. Some of the real things were also coincidentally written in the script. We went with a bound script and didn’t change a single line in it. At present we don’t have a proper leader in our politics. It is the right coincidence that Leader is releasing when the political state of Andhra Pradesh is in doldrums. Leader is a bold movie, not an escapist cinema. It is a solution oriented film. RaNa played the role of protagonist with lots of flair. It is a big role for any first time actor and he did a great work. Music of the movie was released one and half months earlier and Micky J Meyer scored relevant music with patriotic flavour. We are launching merchandise for Leader movie. We want to take the movie forward in the next one month by visiting colleges, IT offices and corporate to promote leader concept. Leader is all set to release on 11 February.”

Micky J Meyer said, “It is a big challenge to score music for Leader. I had to change my style of composition. Leader needs patriotic feel and I did good amount of research to come up with songs. It was a difficult proposition to compose background music for Leader and I struggled a lot. Sekhar Kammula helped me in getting the right background music.”

Marthand K Venkatesh said, “I would like to thank AVM for coming forward to produce Leader movie. I took lot of time to edit Leader movie and I loved the movie so much. I used a different pattern for editing leader. I can confidently say that Leader film will be one among my top 5 best movies.”
