KS Rama Rao arranged a press meet today to thank the people behind the scenes who worked relentlessly for the success of Telugu cinema vajrostavam.

Speaking on the occasion KS Rama Rao told the following points.

1. It was a mistake to involve people like Dasari, D Rama Naidu etc in the committee as they were selected as legends/celebrities to be felicitated. We should not have involved them into the committee.

2. We had to hold the celebrations for 3 days instead of one day because if one celebrity comes, then the other celebrity keeps away from the function. In order to accommodate everybody we had to hold it for 3 days.

3. We spent 2 and half crores on this function.

4. We have fulfilled the objective of honoring legends/celebrities and celebrating the milestone of 75 years.

5. We wanted to show the unity and solidarity.

6. This function got coverage beyond the boundaries of Telugu cinema. This function was featured at national level. Telugu film lovers from abroad came to attend this function.

7. I would like to thank Bala Krishna and his family for showing top class culture in the function. In a hurry I could not mention the name of Bala Krishna in the vote of thanks. I am sorry for that.

8. Nagababu too worked really hard for the function in the capacity of MAA President. In a hurry I could not mention the name of Nagababu in the vote of thanks. I am sorry for that.

9. We are awed by the gesture of senior artists likes like Showkar Janaki, Jamuna, Balayya and Kantha Rao who came forward and donated good amounts.

10. We could not communicate with directors like EVV, VV Vinayak and YVS Chowdary. We are sorry for that.

11. We personally invited Sobhan Babu to attend this function. But he said that he has been away from the industry for years and the moment he comes to Hyderabad, he might get temped to act in films. He politely refused our invitation. But some newspaper reported that we did not invite Sobhan Babu.

12. There is an article in famous newspapers that we should not call this function as diamond jubilee and it is celebrated after 60 years. We are enclosing a copy of oxford dictionary which says that diamond jubilee term is used for both 60 years and 75 years.

13. I would like to thank the family of NTR, Bala Krishna, Purandheswari, Rama Krishna and Lakshmi Parvarthi for helping us by giving the articles of NTR for exhibition.

14. Whoever thinks that they are legends should have waited for their time to come instead of doing it in a hurry.

15. 15th September is the birthday of Telugu cinema. I will make sure that NTR award is given on that day. Even if government did not come forward, I will take it as personal responsibility and hold a function on behalf of film industry.
