The release date of Bangarraju film is announced as 14 January in a press meet held today at Annapurna studios. Nagarjuna, Krithi Shetty, Kalyan Krishna, Anup Ruben and Nimmakayala Prasad (Zee Studios) have attended this function.

Nagarjuna has said that they fixed on the release date of Sankranthi when they started the shoot in October. And everything worked in favour of the film to complete shoot and postproduction to come on 14 January. He had initially wanted to release on 13th itself, but fixed on 14th after talking to the post-production team for a comfortable release. He had also said that it’s unfortunate that biggies like RRR and Radheshyam were postponed as they were PAN-India films. Since Bangarraju is a Telugu film and if the current situation continues further without any lockdown or 50% theatre occupancy, Bangarraju will release and make good money. Bangarraju is being released with a positive intent and hoping that Lord Shiva blesses the film with a favourable scenario. Nagarjuna had also said that the current AP ticket prices are good enough for the Bangarraju film to economically work out.

Speaking on the occasion, music director Anup Rubens said that this is his 3rd film with Nagarjuna after the box office blockbusters like Manam and Soggade Chinni Nayana. He thanked Nagarjuna for the opportunity and the learning experience.

Director Kalyan Krishna had thanked Nagarjuna for giving the opportunity and starting the shoot when he was personally devastated with a tragedy at his home. The combination of Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya would surely be an eye-feast.
