Contrary to the chocolate boy look of Jai in LBW - Life Before Wedding, Abhijeeth is playing a good looking, hard working, god fearing honest Muslim man Ashraf in Chandamama Kathalu. Ashraf is a small size departmental store owner trying to work his way up and it is looking quite plausible. Why not, he obviously made it half way through from nothing and he is sure to go places.
...and contrary to the "Deva Kanya" look in "Yemudiki Mogudu", Richa Panai is playing a middle class Muslim girl Haseena. Like any average middle class girl, she likes to be pampered. She dreams of leading a high life like the rich. She would like to travel in cab's, eat at restaurants, hang out at gaming zones, watch movies in multiplexes.
Haseena being a regular at Ashraf's store, it's only natural for both to fall in love. They seem to be a pair who's made for each other. But both with different aspirations, the outcome seems to be but obvious.
But is it really that simple or obvious?
How would their conservative Muslim family values affect the outcome?
Why do these characters have to be Muslims?
And the big question is.... How would their story fit in to the overall narration of the film?
Chandamama Kathalu is the answer to these questions.
There couldn't have been a better casting than Abhijeeth and Richa for these roles. They fit in to the characters so well that Haseena and Ashraf came alive. From language to body language they both have adapted to the characters and brought authenticity.
FYI: most of the dialogues in this story are a combination of Urdu/Hindi/Telugu.
Background score of the film is happening at a swift pace. Production team is working on a comprehensive release plan for the audio in various mediums over a period of 9 days. Details will be given out soon.
అష్రఫ్ నిజాయితీ పరుడు,దేవుడి మీద నమ్మకం తో కష్ట పడి పని చేసే అందమైన ముస్లిం యువకుడు, ఒక్కడే కష్టపడి చిల్లి గవ్వ లేని స్థాయి నుంచి ఒక చిన్న సైజు డిపార్ట్మెంటల్ స్టోర్ ఓనర్ గా ఎదిగాడు,ఇంకా ఎదగడానికి తన ప్రయత్నాలేవో తను గట్టిగా చేసుకుంటూ పోతూ తన స్టోర్ కు రోజు వస్తూ పోతూ ఉండే ‘హసీనా’ తో పరిచయం పెంచుకున్నాడు...ఇద్దరూ ప్రేమలో పడ్డారు...హసీనా ఒక ముస్లిం అమ్మాయి,ఇద్దరూ చూడ్డానికి ఒకరి కోసం ఒకరు పుట్టినట్టు ఉన్నా స్వభావ రిత్యా చాలా వ్యత్యాసం,తను అందరు మధ్య తరగతి అమ్మాయిల్లానే ఆకాశానికి నిచ్చెనలు వేస్తుంది.కార్లలో తిరగాలనుకుంటుంది,మంచి మంచి రెస్టారెంట్లు,మల్టీప్లెక్స్ లు,గేమింగ్ సెంటర్ లు అంటూ దర్జాగా బతకాలని కలలు కంటూ ఉంటుంది.
అంతా సవ్యంగా సాగిపోతున్న సమయంలో ఒక చిన్న కుదుపు...ఏంటది? ఇద్దరూ ముస్లింలు ఒకరంటే ఒకరు ఇష్టపడ్డారు...వీళ్ళ ప్రేమకు అందరూ ఊహించే ముగింపు వస్తుందా..? ఒకే వర్గానికి చెందిన వారు అయినా వాళ్ళ కుటుంబ వ్యవహారాలు వీరి జీవితం లో ఎటువంటి మార్పులు తీసుకోచ్చాయ్..? అన్నిటికంటే ముఖ్యంగా “చందమామ కథలు” లో వీళ్ళ కథ కు ఎలాంటి ముగింపు రాబోతోంది? చూద్దాం...
“ఎల్బిడబ్ల్యు- లైఫ్ బిఫోర్ వెడ్డింగ్” లో అభిజిత్ చేసిన చాక్లెట్ బాయ్ లుక్ కి పూర్తి భిన్నంగా “చందమామ కథలు” లో ‘అష్రఫ్’ గా,ఒక ముస్లిం యువకుడిగా కనపడడానికి..,“యముడికి మొగుడు”లో ఒక దేవకన్య లా కనిపించిన రిచా పనయ్ ఈ చిత్రం లో ఒక ముస్లిం యువతి ‘హసీనా’ గా కనిపించడానికి వారి గెటప్ విషయంలో పూర్తి శ్రద్ధ తీసుకోవాల్సి వచ్చింది...వీరిద్దరూ సరిపోయినంత సరిగ్గా ఈ పాత్రలకు ఇంకెవరూ సరిపోరేమో..!
గమనిక: ఈ చిత్రం లో వీరి కథ కు మాత్రం...మాటల్లోని భాష హిందీ,తెలుగు,ఉర్దూ కలిసి ఉంటాయి.
నేపధ్య సంగీతం స్వరపరచ బడుతున్న ఈ చిత్రం యొక్క పాటలు తొమ్మిది రోజుల వ్యవధి లో రకరకాల ప్రచార మాధ్యమాల ద్వారా విడుదల చేయబడుతున్నాయి...పూర్తి వివరాలు త్వరలో వెలువడుతాయి.
