Cinema halls to open from 15 October

Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has issued a notification that cinema halls will be permitted to open from 15 October. Occupancy should be of 50% of total theatre capacity at max. The other guidelines regarding social distancing rules, sanitisation etc will be notified through a circular soon. Most of the theatres in India were closed due to covid-19 in the middle of March. Theatres are going to open after a shutdown for 7 months. Indian film industry is one of the most suffered industries in India and millions of people do directly depend on it. OTT has come to the rescue of movie lovers by releasing a lot of Indian films by directly releasing on OTT platforms. We need to wait and see how audience are going patronage theatres as there is a risk of contracting covid-19 virus till the vaccine is found.
