Independence day which falls on Friday is going to be a good day for film releases as it’s going to be a long weekend. NTR’s Rabhasa is slated to release on 15 August. Suriya - Linguswamy’s Sikindar is also releasing on 15 August. Speaking to idlebrain.com, producer Lagadapati Sridhar said that he had no choice but to release on 15 August as it’s a bilingual and the Tamil version Ajaan is slated for release on 15 August. There were rumors in the last month that Rabhasa might be pushed to 29 August which happens to be Ganesh Chaturdhi (again FRiday). But the producer Bellamkonda Suresh categorically stated that he will release Rabhasa at any cost on 15 August. Incidentally, both these films star Samantha as heroine.

Ravi Teja’s Power is eyeing for 29 August and Naga Chaitanya’s Oka Laila Kosam is expected to be released on 5 September. Mahesh Babu’s Aagadu and Ram Charan’s Govindudu Andari Vaadele are expected to release on 19 September and 1st October respectively.
