The recently concluded Filmfare Awards South showed quite the appreciation of talent of Telugu cinema and recognised some good work from 2018.

Ram Charan's March release Rangasthalam that has been receiving quite the acclaim ever since it hit the screens made quite the haul at the award show by bagging five of the key awards.

While ram Ram Charan won the Best Actor Male (Telugu), Devi Sri Prasad bagged Best Music Album (Telugu). Anasuya was awarded the Best Female Actor in a Supporting Role (Telugu), Chandrabose got the recognition for Best lyrics (Telugu) for the song Entha Sakkagunnave and Ratnavelu won Best Cinematography ( Telugu).

Dulquer Salmaan was presented the Critics Award for Best Actor (Male) Telugu for his role in Mahanati. Rashmika Mandanna won the same in the Female category for her role in Geetha Govindam.

However, Mahanati won more honours at the event with Nag Ashwin being awarded the Best Director while Keerthy Suresh won the Best Actor (Female). Mahanati was also presented the award for Best Film.

Jagapathi Babu's act in Aravinda Samrtha Veera Raghava won him the award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male).

The singer who has been receiving wide love from the audience, Sid Sriram was awarded the Best Playback Singer (Male) for the blockbuster song Inkem Inkem Inkem Kavale from Geetha Govindam. Shreya Ghoshal won the same recognition of Best Playback Singer (Female) for her rendition of Mandaraa Mandaraa in Bhaagamathie.
