When Khaidi released, actor Karthi may not have imagined how well it would resonate with the Telugu audiences. The film is running to packed houses and has received quite the positive response from both the audience and critics.

It's only certain that the actor's market in Telugu has now opened up wider. Case in point is his next film Thambi that co-stars his sister-in-law Jyothika and directed by Jeethu Joseph.

While the buyers were all set to release it with the title Tammudu in Telugu, they've decided to change track and are now set to ride on the Chiru sentiment. And the film will now be titled Donga, another Chiru film's name.

While the title Khaidi is monumental in the Megastar's life with the film being one of his biggest hits, what's interesting is it was followed by Donga as well. It is to be seen if the box office magic repeats in the same succession or not!
