Allu Sirish’s Kotha Janta in the direction of Maruthi was screened on 20th July in Zee Telugu and garnered a TRP of 9.84 which is the 3rd highest TRP for any Telugu movie screened in TV channels in the year 2014. The family orientation, youth subject coupled with entertainment quotient made sure that this film is a big success on TV. Kotha Janta is also a success at box office when it was released in theaters on 1 May 2014. Regina Cassandra played female lead. The comedy by Saptagiri was well appreciated. Allu Sirish who disappointed with his debut film Gowravam has made sure that Kotha Janta has what people want.
