Mahanati, a period saga, starring Keerthy Suresh, Dulquer Salmaan, Samantha Akkineni, Vijay Deverakona and a huge ensemble of South Indian actors is an ode to the evergreen legendary actress 'Savitri'. Directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema, the film is based on the real life story of the first ever female superstar of Indian Cinema. 'Mahanati' is the only Indian film to be selected for SIFF under the 'International Panorama' section and is gearing up for its Mainland China Premiere at the festival.

Lauded for it's unique storytelling and nuanced performances, Mahanati subsequently became one of the biggest blockbusters and highly appreciated films of 2018.

The film became yet another testimony of power of the actress 'Mahanati' Savitri as it ran for more than 50 days in theatres post the release on May 9, 2018.
