Manamey teaser: Lively and unlimited fun

The teaser of Sharwanand-starrer Manamey was released on Friday and it is every bit worth the wait. Dropping it on social media platforms, production house People Media Factory wrote, “This SUMMER is going to be the COOLEST ever! Unlocking the doors into the wondrous world of #Manamey, where fun and emotions reign supreme!”
Close to one-and-a-half minute in length, the teaser opens with the stunning magic hour’s shots of London before we are introduced to Sharwanand a Casanova, who gives a character certificate to himself: “Chala manchodila kanipistha, kaani manchodina? Kadhu? (I look like a good guy. Am I? Not),” he says. Leading lady Krithi Shetty is introduced soon after and she is the complete opposite to Sharwa. She is responsible and sticks to her words. After a chance encounter in India, they fall in love in London and within no time seem to move in together. Their idyllic life turns upside down when a little boy enters their lives. Who is the boy? What is his connection to Sharwa seems to form the gist of the story.
Overall, the teaser is pleasant and promises a cool and no-holds barred entertainer this summer without much melodrama. Sharwa seems to have had a ball playing the role as he is in his element. The last shot of the teaser where he asks Krithi– Iddarlo okalu edvandi – is a proof of his fantastic comic timing, while Krithi is pleasing on the eye and also seems to have got a part with a lot of weight. Hesham Abdul Wahab’s score is lively.
Also featuring Seerat Kapoor, Shiva Kandukuri, Vikram Adittya (master), Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna and Rahul Ravindran, Manamey is written and directed by Sriram Adittya. The makers haven’t announced the release date.
