Rakul pledges aid

Actress Rakul Preet Singh, who is devastated to the see what Chennai is going through, has come forward to do her bit. The actress will be helping out 5000 people with food and water bottles. She also urged others to help the people of Chennai in whatever way they can.

“I’m fortunate to be helping out people who have appreciated and encouraged me,” she said.

అధిక వర్షాల కారణంగా నానా ఇబ్బందులకు గురవుతున్న చెన్నై వాసులకు మన తెలుగు కథానాయకులు ఆసరాగా నిలుస్తున్న విషయం తెలిసిందే. కొంతమంది ఆర్ధికంగా ఆదుకొంటుండగా.. మరికొంతమంది వారికి అత్యవసరమైన నీళ్లు, బిస్కెట్ ప్యాకెట్లు వంటి ఆహార పదార్ధాలు చెన్నైకి పంపిస్తూ తమకు కుదిరినంతలో సహాయం చేస్తున్నారు.

ఇప్పుడు ఈ జాబితాలో కథానాయకి రకుల్ ప్రీత్ సింగ్ కూడా చేరుతోంది. తనవంతు సాయంగా 5000 మందికి సరిపడా ఆహారపదార్ధాలతోపాటు మంచినీటిని అందిస్తోంది.

కథానాయికగా తనను ఆదరించిన ప్రేక్షకదేవుళ్ళకు ఈ విధంగా సహాయం అందించే అవకాశం లభించడం తన అదృష్టంగా భావిస్తున్నట్లు రకుల్ తెలిపింది!
