He was always playing the charming, boy-next-door. But with iSmart Shankar showing him in a rowdy-esque light, things have changed quite a bit for actor Ram Pothineni.

Opening up in an interview with a leading English daily, he shared that he chose the film because he felt it was about time he changed his image and he was frustrated of being typecast.

Revealing that playing such a Massy character felt refreshing, Ram shared that his upcoming film RED was a conscious decision made to follow up the Puri Jagannadh film so that he can keep exploring newer stories and reinvent himself.
