A versatile actress and a trained Bharatnatyam actress, Vimala Raman, was born in Sydney and moved to India to pursue her passion for acting, and found her forte in Indian Cinema. With her impressive Tamil debut Poi, she proved her prowess under the legendary director K Balachander. Later, with her telugu cinema debut Evaraina Epudaina, she captured the audiences' hearts with her beauty and went on to acting in Gaayam 2 and and a lot of other movies in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil. Spotted by director Sohan Roy, she made her way even onto the English film circuit, with her role in Dam 999.With a host of hindi, malayalam and tamil movies  like Afra Tafri(hindi) opposite Govinda, Vimala Raman is making making waves all over, and now is looking at coming back to charm the industry she loves the most: Tollywood.
