After considering the agitations of Muslim organizations for showing their religion in poor light as per the trailers/videos of the movie, a high level meeting was held at Secretariat, Chennai and a decision has been taken to ban the film for 2 weeks. The commissioner of police has sent orders not to release the film on 25 January. Earlier a similar scenario prevailed when High court ordered the prohibition of The Da Vinci Code film when there were protests for showing objectionable content regarding Christianity. We will come to know a clear picture by tomorrow. The Telugu version and Hindi version are going to release on 25 Jan and 1st Feb respectively. We need to see if Telugu and Hindi versions see the light or not. Kamal Hassan had another road-block on 10 of this month when he tried to release DTH ahead of film release.
