Bay Area Telugu Association (BATA) & Telugu Association of North America (TANA) organized a meet and greet program with Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT, NRI Affairs, Language & Culture Sri. Palle Raghunath Reddy at Swagat restaurant Milpitas. He was accompanied by a delegation from Govt of Andhra Pradesh which included Sri. Phani Kishore (IRS - IT Secretary A.P) and members of Industry/Infrastructure Eco System)

The program started with Vijaya Aasuri (BATA Advisor) welcoming all the guests and she invited Raghunath Reddy and Phani Kishore on to the stage.

Sri. Phani Kishore thanked the Telugu Community for the warm welcome and he went over various subsidy schemes in promoting IT ventures in A.P. Also he gave an update on the prestigious E-Pragati project under taken by the Govt of A.P.

Speaking on the occasion Sri Raghunath Reddy briefed audience about the welfare implemented by Sri Nara Chandra Babu, in spite of deficit budget. He stressed Entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley to give importance to set up new companies and support our motherland and requested everyone to take active role in rebuilding Andhra Pradesh. He also assured that the, CM will leave no stones unturned in building a world class capital for A.P.

He showed praise on NRI's who are excelling in culture and making Telugu's proud.

Dr. Palle thanked all the attendee’s & specially thanked Sri. Jayaram Komati for organizing the meet.

He also briefed about the IT Policy 2014 and Electronic policy 2014.

> IT Policy 2014 – To attract 20,000 crore investments and generate 5 lakh jobs.

> Electronic Policy 2014 – To attract 30,000 crore investments and generate 4 lakh jobs.

> Single window policy to give clearance within 21 days to set up a new companies.

> Various incentive schemes for Entrepreneurs.

Bay Area Telugu community responded favorably & pledged 250,000 bricks (~$42,000 = 25 lakhs) for construction of Amaravati (New Capital) to show their solidarity.

BATA , TANA & NRI-TDP committee members felicitated Sri. Raghunath with shawl and plaque.
