Edison, July 20, 2014: Nritya Madhavi School of Kuchipudi dance in Edison, NJ has achieved outstanding success in the past few years with the concentrated efforts and dedication of its Founder/Guru.Divya Yeluri, her well-groomed students and all the members of Nritya Madhavi.

This year Nritya Madhavi School of dance has expanded to become the Nritya Madhavi Group, started a branch in Connecticut and has opened a new facility in Edison itself. As always Nritya Madhavi School and its students have been winning awards and accolades all over the USA.

Nritya Madhavi has been winning the most awards including Outstanding dance school awards (around 15 prizes on an average) in the regional Indian American Festival organized by the the Hindu Temple and Cultural Society (HTCS) for the past few years.

Also, the school has been conducting Summer Workshops by Guru. Divya Yeluri herself and also by many acclaimed master artistes such as Smt. Bala Kondala Rao, Sri. MVN Murthy, Smt. Sobha Raj, Sri. Tiruvarur Vaidyanathan and the like.

The mission of the founders and members of Nritya Madhavi is to promote our Indian Classical Art forms in the USA by combining modern technology to the traditional values of our rich Indian Art and Culture.

On this note, Nritya Madhavi conducts several cultural programs to protect and perpetuate our literature, tradition and culture. One such program was Organized by the Nritya Madhavi Organizers on Sunday, July 20th at the Nritya Madhavi Facility, 3775 Park ave, Edison, NJ.

The chief guest for the program, Deputy Speaker of the NJ State Assembly, Sri Upendra Chivakula felicitated the honorable guests ... Mridanga Vidwan Laya Ratnakara. Sri. Tiruvarur Vaidyanathan and acclaimed writer. Dr. Vaddepalli Krishna.

The program commenced with the American National anthem followed by a prayer song 'Vara Siddhi Vinayam' in Kaanada ragam rendered by Aasha Yeluri. 40 Nritya Madhavi Students(Sailaja Medicherla, Rahul Reddy, Supreetha Goteti, Akshay Yeluri, Divya Yetukuri, Arohi Dandawate, Aasha Yeluri and many others) performed the Classical Kuchipudi dance items Sivashtakam, Gajavadana Beduve, Brahmanjali, Athana Jathiswaram, Bho shambho in Ragam Revathi, Oothukadu Venkata Subbaiah's Brundavana Nilaye in ReetiGowla, Hindolam Thillana and Kuntalavaraali Thillana. On the lighter note, Nritya Madhavi students also performed to the Annamacharya Keertanas Pidikita Talambraala Pendli Kooturu and Vedukondama, To Andela Ravamidi from the movie Swarna Kamalam and to Rehman's Chinni Chinni Aasha.

All the 12 items that were presented were well appreciated by the entire audience, and it was a true celebration and appreciation of the Outstanding service that the Nritya Madhavi School and its students have been rendering.

Sri Tiruvarur Vaidyanathan was honored with a proclamation from the State of New Jersey, delivered by the Deputy Speaker of the NJ State Assembly, Sri Upendra Chivukula. While Sri. Upendra Chivukula and Sri. Vaddepalli Krishna spoke about the service being rendered by Nritya Madhavi to the Indian Classical Arts communities in the USA, Sri. Tiruvarur Vaidyanathan also mentioned that he will open a Tala-Vadya branch of Classical arts in the Nritya Madhavi facility shortly.

The presentation function was organized by the Nritya Madhavi School of Dance run by Guru. Smt. DivyaYeluri, in Edison. The CEO and Managing Director of Nritya Madhavi, Sri. Venu Yeluri Presided over the event, while Sri. Murali Medicherla and Sri. Mohan Murali helped Organize the event with meticulous planning.
