Telugu alliances of Canada (TACA) has arranged felicitation to Movie actor Dr. Rajendra Prasad during his visit to Toronto, Canada after receiving prestigious TIFA award at Vancouver, Canada for his stunning performance in the movie “Dream”. The event was organised on April 7th, Sunday at Payal Banquet Hall.
Duggina Rao welcomed the gathering and Vice president Abdul Munaff read out the biodata of Rajendraprasad.
EC President Gangadhar Sukhavasi, BOT president Chari Samanthapudi presented Memento and the award “Haasakeeriti” to Dr. Rajendra Prasad.
The event was anchored by Cultural Secretary Arun Kumar Layam, who also arranged cultural programmes comprising of Very popular song numbers and dances from Rajendra Prasad movies. On the request from the anchor Rajendra Prasad gave a thunderous whistle and said the importance of making noise and enjoying the programmes rather than sitting silently.
Rajndra Prasad addressed the gathering and said, “He was delighted and happy to get the prestigious TIFA award at Vancouver. He also felt happy when the crowd stood up when Rajendra Prasad started saying mere Bharat Mahan and sang Maa telugu thalliki malle pu danda song” during awards night
Rajendra Prasad also spoke about movie AA Naluguru, how fortunate to play that great role. He spoke about his movies, his work ethics and also participated in Q & A session and answered the questions from the audience. He appreciated the performers who presented wonderful cultural events and said he enjoyed those numbers a lot.
He thanked TACA for arranging the function and giving him a chance to meet lot of Telugu people in Canada and able to be part of such a wonderful evening. Dream movie Director Bhavani Shankar and Financial analyst Sukumar accompanied Rajendra Prasad for the awards as well as felicitation in Toronto.
