TANA and ABN/Andhrajyothi announce ‘GiTANAnjali’ song writing competition

April 14 2013, Dallas, Texas: Telugu poets and song writers now have a wonderful chance to demonstrate their love for their language. As part of the overall lead up to the 19the TANA convention, TANA President Thotakura Prasad, 19th TANA convention coordinator Vennam Murali, Secretary Kondragunta Chalapathi and Literature program chair Maddukuri Vijaya Chandrahas announced a song writing competition about the Telugu language. ABN/Andhrajyothi is acting as the media partner for this competition. More details are provided below.

a)Any interested poet or song writer is welcome to participate.
b)The theme of the song should be the Telugu language
c)Winners will be chosen by a panel of eminent lyricists
d)The top three winning entries will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10116, Rs. 5116, and Rs. 3116 respectively. These and other good songs will be set to music, recorded and uploaded to the TANA website and will be published in the TANA and Andhrajyothi magazines.
e)Entries must be sent by May 3rd 2013, in pdf, jpeg or Unicode formats to the [email protected] email address.

The organizers hope that the community will respond with great enthusiasm to this competition and that it will result in the creation of a number of wonderful songs for posterity.
